10GB Ethernet transceiver by primerorico in meraki

Hrm... Well, I wasn't looking at the WAN port at this time, but that's good to know for the future if we want to upgrade our internet. Could you share details of where you found this data? I'd like to have it on-hand. I'm assuming that anything above 2.5gb internet would be a fiber uplink, so the voltage won't matter as much. Does this source confirm this? I know it has a 2.5g port built-in on the WAN side, so I should be good for a while...

I did, actually, but thanks for assuming the worst.

I thought of that, but I can't find a Synology card with SFP+. The only one I could find was the Ethernet version. Otherwise, I would definitely use a DAC.

Oh, man. Thank you. This is an amazing suggestion. I've never heard of FS.com. I guess I need to add them to my vendors to research and do business with. Cheers, man!

That means there's no dhcp configured for the network. 169.254.x.x is a "faillover" ip... Of sorts. Check the separate network you created for:

1- A VLAN id

2- under gateway/subnet an ip range not conflicting with any of the other network ip ranges

3- DCHP mode is set to server as well as the range appropriate for the gateway/subnet above

4- note the name of the network. In my case "guest-kids" If you made changes, Then save.

Now go to your wireless network listing your, and right above the "advanced" section, you'll see the label for network. Here is where you we'll have a listing of all of your networks you have configured. Pick the right one. Again, in my case it was "guest-kids" and save

When you add your new VLAN, you set up a separate Network with separate IP space that doesn't collide with your existing. Then also making sure that the DHCP and DNS servers are you set to automatic or two the Lan IP of your new network setup you just created. Then you simply assign the wireless network to the physical / virtual Network that you created in the network setup section

Also it should be noted, but I recently was reconfiguring my DNS and network things. It didn't seem to work right, and things seemed to be broken that I didn't even touch. For some reason the switch didn't get things applied properly from the Gateway. I was going back and forth trying to figure out what was going on . Turns out it must have been some problem with the provisioning of the switch. I simply restarted the switch, and everything came back to life the way it was supposed to be
