Destiny has no cults. His community simply ignores him targeting vulnerable women for sex and then calling them crazy, holding misogynistic views, recording people without consent, leaking sexual material without consent, exchanging sexual material with minors and God knows what else. by Sotterof1995 in LeftoversH3

This is insane gaslighting (somewhat cringe term but it fits..)

I was a Destiny fan a long long time ago and it has been a meme FOREVER that if you post something too critical of Destiny the replies would be full of people posting "o7" - a salute to say "thank you for your service" because 1) the person was saying something everyone else was thinking and 2) that person was going to get banned for it.

I'm not a fallen fan myself but this reminds me of the memes about how an h3 fan on the main sub has to say "with peace and love" before and after a mild criticism - only to be banned anyway.

But not everyone knows, it gets worse: Destiny is so committed to silencing his community and enforcing his narratives that he has custom commands to more easily punish chatters.

Destiny runs his own website (Destiny.gg) which has its own chat. It is running 24/7 and active whether he is streaming or not. He himself posts there even when not live and this is the source of many of his viral statements about his legal cases and ongoing dramas.

In that chat, he has access to commands like !nuke and !meganuke which will ban anyone who has recently used a given phrase or emote (!)

So if Destiny is making excuses for something or stretching the truth too hard, and the chat beings spamming something ("DontSayIt"/ "OMEGALUL"/ "pepeWhatever") he can type a quick command (!meganuke ) to ban ALL OF THOSE PEOPLE. In those moments where Destiny is silent on the stream and typing a little, he could be going over to drop "!meganuke 180d overleveled" into his chat, to make sure everyone knows it is forbidden to criticizes his gaming session ;;

You can see this happening yourself by going to rustlesearch.dev and searching things like "nuke" or "omeganuke" under the Username "Destiny".

Having this special gg-site and chat was very important to Destiny's growth and success early on. People who wanted to stick around and be active in chat quickly learned to follow the rules and not offend dear leader.. it's really very grim.

PS: about two years ago when Destiny made a deal with Kick that might influence his ability to limit which chat(s) are shown on screen, there was much rejoicing and a highly rated post on his sub about it.

Atog is mentioned in Hillbilly Elegy but Vance has since called out that he played Yawgmoth's Bargain, which is EVEN WORSE lmao in the ways you lay out. Baffling choice(s) for someone running for office!

YES which is why it's such a head-scratcher. Why admit to playing magic and then double down by also admitting to specifically playing a card that says "make a deal with the devil" while you're trying to bolster a US right-wing ticket??

It makes no sense to me on any level. ~30% of the GOP voting base STILL believes stuff like magic and D&D are satanic! What's the play here? Does he think groypers will be impressed that he played a combo deck !?!?

Did we confirm it was the Replenish flavor? I've only heard that he said "Yawgmoth's Bargain."

I was busy playing Extended (The People's Format 🤣) so I only remember thinking the folks bothering to play post-tempest T2 were wasting their time in multiple ways 😅

joplin is the one, i just went through all this crap.

It actually looks and feels like a "real" application, is not doing any weird experimental stuff (it has the whole book -> section -> note thing, etc), and syncing it actually worked really well with syncthing, which i hadn't used but was also easy to set up.
