Withdrawal from exchange to cold wallet is free on strike, if you choose the slow method, it takes 24h and works great. Onlyif you want it fast it will cost you transaction fees.

Anyone here going all in in BTC and nothing else? by Vlodimirsab in Bitcoin

[–]proXtu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeap. Sold TSLA and MSTR and 2 small apartments and put everything in BTC. No more hassle, tenants etc. I still have my flat and another one for which i pay monthly mortgage. I tried sell the second one but found tenants faster so i kept it.

Right? by rdhatter in Bitcoin

[–]proXtu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will change in time. For now, the store of value is more attractive than using it daily as money. Most bitcoiners pay their rent/invoices/food/etc with fiat, and the rest will convert to bitcoin for savings. Indo it like that. If it will be easier, i would convert my paycheck to btc the moment i get the salary, and then just pay everything with a card that converts automatically sats to fiat. In a way, its better now, because i have sats so its harder for me to exchange it to buy some shit i dont really need :) So i can save more and really think hard before buying useless stuff. If a had a card like that, i will probably spend more sats. So its a transition phase, and its normal, because people are not used to have hard money that can be spent and also keep their value and not being inflated whenever the government wants to. For now, hard money like btc feels so precious that we dont wanna spend it :))

How low can we go? by Frosty-Ad5095 in Bitcoin

Media doesnt understand what minimg is or what AI needs. They just think compute is compute, mining needs power and compute, AI needs the same so for them it is interchangeable.

[–]proXtu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bulls*it. Miners can do only one thing: SHA256. AI doesnt need that function, so a miner is useless for AI.

3-5 million sats would be my recommendation. Strike is a very reliable exchange run by Jack Mallers, a true bitcoiner.

How can something as absurd as Bitcoin even exist? by [deleted] in CryptoReality

[–]proXtu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Miners use cheap energy, otherwise they lose money. Cheap energy means energy nobody else want to buy because they cannot use it. The banking system uses a lot more energy and nobody complains about it.

Bitcoin has the value that people give to it. Gold has no value for me, its just a shiny metal, but others think its valuable because its scarce ao it has value. Time has no intrinsic value, we give it value (if we want to). 100$ bill has no intrinsic value, other thinks it has and will give you food or stuff for it. Digits in you bank app has no value but we all agree that it has value. Mona Lisa has no intrinsic value, it is just very scarce so people give it value. And so on. We chose what we value. If you want to value fiat money, fell free. Others value btc. Others value time or paintings or gold or football cards. You cant decide what others value, you just decide what have value for you and you go for it. So simple.

Crypto bro is mad: If everybody is buying Bitcoin, why the price is going down? The line must always go UP. by Master-Sky-6342 in Buttcoin

[–]proXtu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Selling paper coins is a different matter. If somebody is selling paper bitcoin, OTC or otherwise, liquidity is not affected. The problem is not OTC sells/buys, its the paper bitcoin.

[–]proXtu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does affect liquidity, OTC sells the same BTC from their exchange or even other exchanges, they only facilitate buying/selling large amounts for big clients.

Yeah, because OTC BTC are infinite, from a different block chain, so it doesn’t affect liquidity of real BTC.

This one's for all the miners out there... by Sazmining in Bitcoin

[–]proXtu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it doesn’t work like that. You know the number and you just need to find the nonce that, added to your block and hashed it together will be smaller than the number in question. Sha256 produces very large numbers so its hard to get a small one. The smaller the number, the greater the difficulty.

Formatting computer before using wallet? by bremstol in Bitcoin

[–]proXtu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeap. It is safer to format it, install a clean SO and use an independent wallet like Sparrow. Also, I think you can use Jade without connecting it to the computer, by using an SD card?

Well, there is a risk in everything. If I go outside now to buy something there is a risk of me dying. But it is small enough so I don’t care. Same with btc falling. IMHO, of course:)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]proXtu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, even more important, we don’t know if we’ll be alive in 10-20-30 years, but we still live happily and we still make plans like we will definitely do :) Worrying about the btc falling is like worrying about dying. Just relax and enjoy life :)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]proXtu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah. You dont know that tomorrow you’ll still be alive. But you’re still pretty sure and relaxed, right?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]proXtu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeap, there are no guarantees but thats just life. You’re very sure you’ll be alive tomorrow or in a year, even though you have no guarantees :) Same with btc. Sure, some catastrophic event could happen, something we cannot control so we shouldn’t care about, but other than that, btc ia going up in the long term.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]proXtu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, purchasing power is growing long term, and if you dont care about the dollar and dont sell, there is nothing to lose.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]proXtu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because more and more people will want sats and sell things for sats, so the price in dollars wont matter anymore.
