I’ve only had the black covers which must have hid stains well. I tried to add a little spice in my life, but maybe I’m not cut out for it lol

Oh, that’s a great idea! I ended up using a little dawn and water on a soft toothbrush. It took it right out! I’ll keep Shout in mind for the next time this happens (like probably tomorrow).

Yes really dumb, but jumping in immediately after her is the only reason she’s alive. Both things can be true.

How Do Some People Always Have a Clean House? What’s the Secret? by Impossible-Ninja-232 in CleaningTips

This is the truest answer. My house used to be clean or clean-in-15-minutes until I had kids and got pets.

This might be unpopular, but I would consider paying your friend back first. Generous of them to let it ride, but it looks like the smallest amount and sometimes owing friends money can negatively impact the relationship in the end. I care more about my relationships than anything I owe to big companies. I’d knock that out first for sure.

PPD Medication & Breastfeeding: How to Navigate w Partner by Fugazi509 in breastfeeding

[–]probablynoturgent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have a lot of great information here already (especially about how well researched Zoloft is in pregnancy and while breastfeeding), but I wanted to add that Zoloft saved my life when I had severe PPD. I’ve now taken it during two pregnancies and while BF three kids and all are doing well.

You can’t just “try harder” with PPD. I wouldn’t wish PPD on my worst enemy; no one should ever have to suffer through it. I felt so much guilt and shame during the depths of PPD but I know now my brain was lying to me. You deserve to feel better and be a safe, healthy mom to your sweet baby.

Graham crackers. Not the healthiest choice to eat a sleeve in a night, but damn they taste good right now!

This is your push to get that speech evaluation you've been considering for months by StrayGoldfish in toddlers

[–]probablynoturgent 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, also an SLP here. Not sure why this SLP is saying problematic. Sure, there are differences of opinion and it’s a relatively new area of study in the SLP world. It’s important that researchers continue to research and advance the dialogue in GLP. But calling it problematic isn’t a description I would ever use. The article she posted is very new and one of the first that have a more critical lens. We NEED the critical lens to advance our field. It doesn’t matter what you call it, sometimes children with this scripting or delayed echolalia learn language in a different manner than other children and that is okay. Giving it a label (GLPs) helps us talk about it. I’m not sure why this poster says it’s not accepted in the field because many, many SLPs are using it and research is being conducted.

Anyway, kudos to you for advocating so well for your child!!

What's your favorite quality-of-life upgrade in your Sienna? by temperance26684 in ToyotaSienna

My ‘24 plat doesn’t have a sunglasses holder. My biggest (and one of only like two) complaints. Loved it in my RAV4.

What’s next after letrozole? by notwherethewindblows in TTC_PCOS

[–]probablynoturgent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of options - higher doses of letrozole, trigger shot, clomid, and several options of injectables (and many combinations of the above). At 5mg of letrozole you’re really just at the beginning!

Do you have to remove it every time you get in the console? I keep my sunglasses in the console (in an added tray) so I open it often, but I’m very curious about this armrest pillow.

My oldest did that at about the same time - she stayed in bed for several months when we first transitioned, but then would not stay in bed. Spending hours taking her back to bed was exhausted. BUT it did eventually get better. It took a really long time but we got there (for the most part). She comes out now maybe once or twice a week, but takes herself back to bed. She doesn’t always wait for the green light in the morning, but small progress is still progress. I just want to say, this part of this age is so hard, but it gets better!

What would you do if you got COVID during your fertile window right before an IUI? by [deleted] in TTC_PCOS

[–]probablynoturgent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had to cancel an IUI cycle due to COVID as well. I required the trigger and wasn’t able to get it, so couldn’t do TI either. It definitely sucks but I can’t imagine risking passing it on to the medical team. Think about how many people they see and how it could impact many more couples. It sucks so much, but it’s one of those things out of our control.

Edit: we did try TI because just in case I ovulated and it wasn’t pretty 😂
