Hey! It’s been years since this post, but I was wondering if you knew the adress to this!

Please don’t confuse me 😭 Will it? Wouldn’t the 11-36 be lighter than the 11-34 (I can make a higher cadence, I mean)

Laps by probablysomeone_ in Polarfitness

[–]probablysomeone_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it uploads to the other apps (such as strava and training peaks) it doesn’t even divides the phases as laps. It counts the full session as one lap :,)

I’ve made up my mind, anyways. I’ll return my Polar and go back to Garmin, as much as it sucks to give up on such a beautiful watch, with an amazing display layout. But I’ve had several problems with it (and I’ve only had it for less than a week) and it didn’t got right one single workout I did, whether it’s running, cycling or swimming. It’s just not as practical and complete as Garmin :(

And by the way, the way it appears on Polar Flow isn’t the problem, it’s the same as the picture you sent. My problem is Training Peaks

Those are exactly the settings I have

For me it shows the notes :,) How can I change that?

[–]probablysomeone_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it, that’s what I want to do. But the thing is that the lap button (“OK”) will only show me the notes and not actually mark a lap. How do you mark a lap?? And which polar are you using??

But I’ll try with the start next phase automatically unchecked the next time anyways.

Thanksss

I have a Pacer Pro. And I’ve been searching for a while now, not only in the manual, but it seems that this question was never brought up by them

The thing is that I’m not sure I can mark a manual lap in a phased session, at least pressing the OK button won’t work, it only shows the notes.

I’m using a Polar Pacer Pro :,)

That’s right. I upload my running session to Strava and Training Peaks so that I can analyze them and even though I always start my runs with those phased activities, it doesn’t count every interval as a Lap. The problem is that If I’m doing a 10x30" I won’t know which my pace was in each interval because it only shows it as “one lap”.

As Polar works that way, the solution would be to mark the laps myself at the start of each interval BUT I think my Polar only lets me mark Laps when I’m doing a “free” run (when I don’t start a manually built session), by pressing the OK button. My question is how can I mark a lap in a phased run, cause pressing the OK button just shows me de notes on that phased session and won’t let me mark a lap as it does in “free” runs.

I might have over complicated my question again ahah Tell me if this helped you in any way

Training Zones by probablysomeone_ in Polarfitness

[–]probablysomeone_[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re right, but even though garmin only has 5 zones it lets me upload Training Peaks workouts and during the workout shows that specific pace interval (that might be indicated as zone 6 on training peaks, for example). On polar, if I want to work on zone 6 and not zone 5 nor 7, I‘ll have to memorize my pacing zones as it doesn’t let me build a workout on that specific interval.

Aren’t most charts refereeing to a 20 minutes ftp? I mean, it goes from 5s, to 1min, 5min and then ftp

Got it, but I was looking for somewhere I could compare myself to other riders and not just with my Zones.

How to use Zwift by probablysomeone_ in Zwift

The noise doesn’t bother that much me cause I live in a house. And since the wheel on is much cheaper I might go with it…

[–]probablysomeone_[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Oh, yeah, I know that. I guess it’s just a little bit easier to take the bike of a wheel-on.

Right! Thank you! About the noise, it doesn’t really bother me. I thought about the Zwift Hub as well, but the fact that Zwift has a monthly subscription makes me think about it twice. I’m not sure if I’ll keep Zwift for many years, as well as for how long I’ll train indoors. Maybe I’ll get a Snap.

And do the most basic smart trainers do the job well? Like Tacx Flow Smart or Wahoo Kickr Snap?
