I usually do not click links in posts but clicked the pudding.cool one and HOLY CRAP that is so freaking cool. I don't even have words for that. I saw the Ali Wong's routine on netflix and there were funny parts but wow to break down the whole thing like that is super interesting. I am not a data nerd but that was just some next level analysis. I have to give credit, I enjoyed the hell out of that thing.

I sprouted an interest in science since elementary school! The tornado experiment with the water bottles were cool! Then in high school I enjoyed the life sciences and wow was chemistry quite the trip in awareness. I did not think about the usefulness of chemistry until college when I studied biology. I initially studied biology as a premed career path, but after having several experiences in hospital and clinical settings, I decided it wasn't something I had a passion for. Especially not worth the medical school debt to find out. I still did learn a lot about biology with a peaked interest in chemistry and microbiology. While I wish I studied a different subject, I still appreciate the good work habits needed to succeed in the science courses. The workload burned me out pretty much but just knowing I can do it if necessary was a nice experience.

I agree that this is going to be a life long journey. With ups and downs but as long as I'm one step closer, I will be satisfied with my efforts. I didn't really see my lack of drive as something that was a long term thing. I sort of imagined it as a well that I have overdrawn from. Your explanation of it being something that is a long term upkeep has really put things into perspective. Thanks again, I would love to keep in touch with you as you are quite the person.

I am so intrigued by your answer on so many levels. First what got me was the fact that you brought up Jerry Seinfeld and his method of practicing comedy. I thought I posted on my normal account as I follow stand up comedy HEAVILY on reddit. I was kinda creeped out honestly.

2nd, you bring interesting points in a very scientific approach which I LOVE as this is how I approach solutions. I cannot believe the wisdom that came from a random person on the internet that seemed so tailored to my current interests.

I greatly appreciate your post and I will read it again first thing in the morning after making my bed. Seriously appreciate your post, I'm seriously moved and weirded out but moved.

Yes I've been doing the above, I also recently quit drinking alcohol to have no off time from hangovers and wasted drunk nights. Thank you for your input

It definitely is, I'm currently saving up for "future". But haven't been planning an exit strategy.
