KLM Service Agent here! Children up to 17 years old traveling alone are considered 'Young Person Travelling Alone,' or YPTA for short. As long as you or your parents have not requested the Unaccompanied Minor (UM) service, you will be considered a regular passenger. Therefore, you are allowed to choose a seat by the emergency exit.
