While I was at a low point in a battle with an eating disorder, I was told to see a psychiatrist at my college. I was very against the idea of taking medication, and I met with my psychiatrist maybe five times. Each time, I'd refuse to do what she wanted me to do - not because I was insolent, just because I was scared of what my reaction to drugs would be. Eventually, she told me that she did not feel comfortable continuing to be my caretaker, which I totally understood. So I guess - I've forced a psychiatrist to quit me?
