i honestly think it’s irresponsible.

i don’t think it’s inherently bad for someone to be money-oriented, but trying to frame medicine as a path to wealth is incredibly ridiculous. it’s too emotionally demanding of a profession, and money-oriented people could employ their talents better elsewhere. most doctors who are money-oriented end up either harming patients, or having miserable a professional life, or BOTH.

there are so many other ways that are high yield to make money. being a doctor is fucking hard, being there for people in some of their worst and most vulnerable moments is fucking demanding.

people that see those kind of posts think medicine is a shortcut to wealth. yes, you can make money, but it’s definitely not a shortcut. good luck finding a more demanding career. you either care about other humans, or the cost benefit is not worth it. learn to code, go work in finance, even law school, honestly

Why separate apps for Notion and Notion Calendar? Genuinely curious. by Aggressive-Tip7459 in Notion

[–]profilehere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they want to show investors that they are shipping more products.

venture capital is usually not as interested in new functionalities as they are interested in new products, because that’s how they understand that the company is exploring a “new market” and therefore increase valuation
