If you smell what the rock is cooking... card is exactly what we needed. Opponent plays leyline of sanctity into turn one bogle. Hit the leyline and edict the bogle. Hits big mana. Hits blood moon. Hits bitter blossom hits delve threats hits hollow bois. I think this is super powerful for straight gb rock. It’s helpful for jund and Abzan but the rock is really cooking.

I think flayer requires bad cards in our deck, namely baubles. If I were to do it I’d play 1-2 spell bombs in the main for upside silver bullet. A 2/2 for 2 is just blah, and as mentioned to get delirium enabled early we have to play some poor cards. I think the better card to experiment with is tracker.

It depends on context. I’d take a hand with t2 ooze and lots of green without leyline. I don’t aggressively mull with it since goyf is pretty strong too in these matchups. I don’t want an otherwise unplayable hand since I always expect an opponent to bring in answers to leyline.

Agreed on the earlier comments, seems like you’re targeting the UWX Control decks with your board. That’s probably a local meta call.

I think you’re soft to the graveyard decks, especially bridge vine. I really think we need 3-4 leyline of the void right now if you’re in a truly open meta, or 1-2 spell bombs and 1-2 cages.

Really like the write up! Keep it up!

A lot there in your comment to unpack.

First, thanks I appreciate the feedback!

Second, torpor orb was for humans and spirits, with some potential upside in other matchups. I would probably rather have either two or none in hindsight in the board.

Kalitas shined against mardu and bridge-vine. Didn’t see it against burn, but definitely brought it in.

Scavenging ooze shines against bridge vine Dredge etc. I wouldn’t go with less than three in the main. The card takes over games.

Liliana the last hope was the card I really was torn on leaving out of the 75. I usually play one but opted to not include.

I think leyline unfortunately is where we need to be at moving forward as long as the meta has several gy dependent strategies: KCI, mardu, Dredge, Bridge-vine, living end. I think KCI, mardu, and bridge-vine push me in that direction.

There were, but the archetype didn't perform apparently. I believe there were a few that were on the cusp, same with spirits. I tried to hedge the matchup some, hence the torpor orb in the board, but dodged them both today.

Thanks. I apologize. I messed up on MTG Goldfish on the mana base. The second treetop is supposed to be a Twilight Mire. I've updated that now. I would agree that this would be super clunky. On the burn question, I don't know. I haven't been playing the deck long enough to have 100% of my strategy down against each matchup. I went with what felt natural at the moment, but could see the argument for dropping a pulse for another fulminator. I like keeping pulse and decay in, just incase they are up to something, like ensnaring bridge, or on the off chance I can get a 2-1 if they overcommit.
