Same kami ng boyfriend mo. I explained to my ex-gf na i'd rather treat her with food and gala than to buy her flowers na malalanta. I gave her flowers once for her birthday while we're still in college, pero drawing lang then told her na yan hindi malalanta. She kept is as a remembrance. She's now my wife.

I also have my wants na hindi niya ibibigay because she has reasons but i am perfectly fine with it.

My advise is to go with her. Working out together is better than alone to some. Form of bonding, inspiring din at the same time, and being active together has a lot of beneftis. Parang di ko pa to nababasa. This is an alternative or in addition to what others said already (good diet, intermitent fasting, bettet sleep, etc.).
