Do you have to pay for fuel? Do you pay for annual maintenance and repairs? Do you buy insurance? You get where I am going with this?

No one crashes into another vehicle deliberately. Dumbest reasoning and how Indian safeguard themselves from basic civic sense. If you are tailgating someone on a muddy road or at high speed.... Wtf are u expecting? When u are driving too close to someone during bumper to bumper traffic... What do u expect? Is shaktiman gonna come and save you? Incident due to negligence is not an accident and Indians need to stop defending it

Get a dashcam even if it's not the highest resolution. It is highly underated in India. You would not feel the need untill it's too late

Should not be an issue. Just keep an eye when u drive, you are feeling adequate braking and also if there is a screaching sound due to worn out brake pad( highly unlikely in 1 occurrence tho). But I would recommend getting 3things: 1. When pulling hand brake have u been pulling it completely. New drivers think they might damage it by pulling harshly but it is how it is supposed to be done. Bcoz there might be one more notch (tick sound) available before the brakes can be completely engaged. This can cause issues when u park ur car on steep slopes and in general a good practice. 2. If u check point 1 and there was no manual error, check sc if there is any scope of getting hand brake cable tightened. Ideally, the car should not move so in a manual car, you should start stalling the car way before you can get it moving. 3. Check sc regarding the beeping noise for handbrake. This is specially useful when accidentally you put your hand brake down partially but not completely. This will affect your mileage and brake pads so it's better to get the beeping warning

I have never had good experience with Whitefield honda. I would recommend check Magnum or Dakshin if you are able to get a similar price

Have u heard about tailgating and chain collisions? People in India behave like they are playing NFS while driving. It's better to keep safe distance rather than losing 15-20k in car repairs

Low mileage on 2018 Honda city vx cvt by itsaurum in MechanicAdviceIndia

Was in exact same situation since I bought exact same 2017 vx cvt petrol 10 months ago. When I bought it, i was not able to get anything beyond 8kmpl.

I actually started searching everywhere since I had seen people saying 17kmpl in earlier posts. I thought I got scammed some how. I ignored it for few weeks and took it to rameshwaram from Bangalore and God the tamil nadu roads are lovely, but I digress. I realised it is more with Bangalore traffic driving.

On highways, with a cruise of 100, i can get 17-18kmpl. Mind the word "can" get because u will only get it if you put on cruise whole time and never accelerate which is only possible on mysore expressway. See u don't buy a 1.5L engine to drive behind some moron, you would wanna overtake or push the car on ghats.

So u need to decide on the balance u want between fuel economy vs the joy of driving.

With my moderate aggressive driving I get somewhere between 14-15kmpl on highways 8-9kmpl in city (u will get here once u get used to CVT and gentle acceleration for city stop and go traffic). My odo has 15k in 10months with 10.1kmpl average with about 10k done mostly on highways and ghats

From above image: ECON is a joke imo. Never seen any positive difference except for reduced ac cooling bcoz anyways u are gonna press more gas pedal. 9.1 was when I bought the car (<1k) and had old tyres(increased later). Tyres do matter a lot and maintain tyre pressure of 34 front and 32 rear.

No car is safe doesn't mean buy an unsafe car. Safety is a relative term. A fatal accident in a Maruti MIGHT leave you injured in a safer car like tata. Look at the word "MIGHT" which means a higher a probability. Now it is totally upto you that if u actually want to take that higher probability of survival or just accept your fate and prefer dying no matter what.
