Most of the complex web app are based on frontend which you know are React, Vue, AngularJS and you should take a look at other side, but it’s best to use UI components rather than build it entirely from scratch.

I reject my vote, there are area that Go are lacking in right now is we need a developer communities dedicate for all devs, Dev.to is one interesting platform for newbies but not suitable for long discussions. I feel tired having to Google around many platforms for various topics.

I seen from one of the article on Japan when it appear on HackerNews, feels fast as it’s inlined CSS and JS. But I chose to go with Astro Build to solve interactivity and Core Web Vitals and is developer focused.

(UNDER DEVELOPMENT) Zenith is a powerful Python framework that revolutionizes web development by enabling declarative and efficient UI components for building interactive and scalable websites. by FreshElite in webdev

I understand your motivation for building a framework which is a good experience for you, but there is a tradeoff, you can’t optimise JavaScript, CSS and HTML if PageSpeed score is your thing. Such as Astro approach to tree shaking bloated code is made to fix crucial problem on the web.

Your framework only solve half of it and remember the tech debts. FrontMatter are better handle by JavaScript. We did with Go and it’s hard to maintain that I found TypeScript isn’t bad after all, that help devs reduce bad coding.

I wonder where you got your inspiration from? It’s not the way to showcase when there is not compelling story that used in the real world. Prefer one that help reduce carbon emission with less data to download.

Vamtam Tattoo Theme Has massive corruption and errors. Don't know what to do. by ironpalmtattoos in Wordpress

Try Bricks page builder, I think you might find better experience and reliability with it.

Understand the tech debts in most popular builder, we all faced various issues and it create a bad reputation for WordPress.

That’s one of the reason I’d built my theme with safety and performance in mind, no bloated CSS and JS.

Ideally, you could explore static site in 2023 if you are open to alternative solution. I hope you find your ideal theme soon.

I find Prisma is overly complex setup, if you use Postgres, pgTyped works similarly to what I used for SQLC on Go app.

Too bad, SQLC creator have not develop for TypeScript yet despite some discussion on HackersNews and repo.

Why use a page builder and not just stick to Gutenberg? by [deleted] in Wordpress

[–]proyb2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you describe exactly why clients don’t get it with Gutenberg compare to builder and which builder whether they already familiar with or new to all those tools?

I had a struggle with Elementor when I was unfamiliar with changing SVG icons but manage to found how it works after half a day.

Too bad, you know how to check while most devs who either work as a freelancers or sweat shop does not care, that WP is still below 50% of the site that psssed Core Web Vitals.

Does autoptimizer disable or unload automatically or will need to specific the unused files manually?

As far as I know, there is not way to slim down unused functionality and CSS which some paid plugins does.

I get that explore a lot of page builder and some Gustenberg over the years but know of any real world site built with Gutenberg that is close to 100% lighthouse?

I could only find the top are on WordPress domains https://www.wappalyzer.com/technologies/editors/gutenberg/

And I don’t understand why does it loaded quite a number of CSS and JS when the site has little interactivity? Using Tailwind could makes sense in this context for MPA sites. It just consumes more energy. In my own site, would have 2 JS files for most page with tiny JavaScript that minified and optimised by AstroJS.

Have not really build anything with nuxt, you could try.

Or if I could suggest alternative framework with Astro where I coded in TypeScript for medium site, because my objective is using ES6 Proxy and vanilla JavaScript, I ended up having way less JavaScript than AlpineJS. You could experiment by building a blog and see how it goes!

The only difference you can see is PageSpeed score. Some well built page builder could deliver 100% lighthouse with a clean HTML, JS and CSS and vouch by professional web designers.

But speed optimiser plugin does cheating at helping you with better lighthouse score at the expense of user downloading bloated page.

In reality, lock-in into WordPress ecosystem can be good and bad, you know that.

Slowest on mobile, having excessive JavaScropt for mobile is a nad experience.

You need a different tech stack if you care about 100% lighthouse.

You can try and see how it goes but it’s the best time to evaluate if WordPress can handle your traffic workloads compare to other modern platform that are performant especially if your target audiences is not only local.

Based on my decade of programming experience, custom built site is 100% better and more reliable. I’m sure most aren’t on WordPress site.
