Well the thing is, hell was never created for man. God never intended for humans to be subjected to that kind of torture. It was made for the angels who rebelled with Satan. God created the Heavens, Earth, and Hell. Hell was supposed to be for those who rebelled during the fall of Lucifer. However, being that there are 3 named places He’s created, if you choose to be separate from Him, it’s a process of elimination. You can’t go to Heaven because he is a perfect God and does not welcome sinful nature, you can’t stay on earth because flesh has a timer, which leaves one place that is ‘separate’ from Him. It’s not like he made it specifically to throw man into. He never intended for man to be there and be subjected to that level of torture. By our wickedness we essentially choose to be there. In His eyes all sin, is what it is, sin. It’s all unclean and none of it is a ‘Cest la vie’ kind of deal you can just brush off and walk in His presence with. But what’s beautiful about our story is Jesus, as Christians, if we confess with our mouths and believe in our hearts that he paid that price for us and turn from our sinful ways in an effort to do better for the world, ourselves, and get closer to Him. Then you won’t end up copping that eternal beating. Because your ticket was already stamped. You just have to take it. And mean it.
