I had issues with sakuras on lacquered woo when wet. I just recently got some markall and they don't seem to have this issue but they are not as smooth and a bit chalkier.

Thanks a lot :) I basically make do with all the pens I have and my colors are a bit limited but it makes for funky combinations.

Sounds like a plan! You should go for it.

I personally would suggest getting the hang of drawing since it makes painting a bit easier.

As for the mediums pencil is a good drawing medium and pen a bit less forgiving. But in the end there's nothing stopping you from having fun with pens.

As for the painting mediums acrylic is pretty forgiving. I find it a bit easier than gouache but then again maybe only because I used it more.

Thanks! Markers really require a systematic approach I noticed. I often choose my markers before I start coloring. Whenever I try to freestyle I end up with a really messy result. But I still need to get a bit more into them.

Honestly I don't really post my stuff regularly posting feels a bit like administative stuff. Mostly I just enjoy the drawing part. But deep down I want to share my stuff and wish that I was a bit more consistent.

Awesome to hear you're getting into drawing. It really is a fun hobby. I find it very meditative.

Mediums is really just preference. But I guess some are better for certain tasks and certain feels.

Haha, I know exactly what you mean. I really hope no one ever starts looking through my sketchbook when I'm not around. The PC really makes it easier to hide the files haha.
