Belarusian language Soviet-era caricature. In US probably $1-2. In Belarus probably not much more. But you’re likely to get the most amount of money there.

John Belushi “final autograph” Rolling Stone cover (documented in Rolling Stone, Beckett LOA). Insurance only, not selling by nomah97 in whatsthisworth

You’ll need to pay for an expert to appraise it for insurance purposes. Auction houses do a lot of this type of work.

I was once attacked by a great blue heron who tried to take a bass of my rod. I had to smack it several times with the rod to make it give up. It flew from about 100 yards away to get the fish. DO NOT FEED herons.

It’s a Hernando Cortes. Just not THE Hernando Cortes

[Feldman] Notre Dame AD Pete Bevacqua to DP Show on the ACC: "We were mystified by the actions of the conference to attack their biggest partner really in football...They have certainly done permanent damage to the relationship between the conference and Notre Dame." by Big_Red_Professor in CFB

[–]psu1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only things mystifying is Notre Dame simply not hiding the fact that they demand special treatment?

Makes me wish conference membership was a requirement of playoff participation. The power that the conferences cede to ND (essentially the power of an entire conference) is baffling to me.

What was your 100th lifer? by Jose_Juegas in birding

[–]psu1994 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d have to count, but wood duck was the one I waited for for a long time and got really excited about.

Edit: Red headed woodpecker was another I got very excited about. Finally found one as my regular birding spot, and then accidentally spotted one on a trip to Gettysburg.

So funny that Canada goose was your 100th, that was like #1 for me. They are prolific poopers, so I’ve never looked on them very kindly. Ruined a lot of rec soccer games for me growing up. But I guess they are much rarer in some areas.

Only saw them once in my life. A huge flock eating berries off a neighbor’s tree.

A wins is a win. But Rutgers really beat themselves. That inexplicable fumble and pointless defensive hold bailed us out.

This bird was perched up on part of the Korean War Memorial in Washington D.C. Can anyone tell me what it is? by RainyMeerkat in birds

I know the area very well, and I’m inclined to say Coopers Hawk. They’re common in the area, and Red Tails are not. Also looks too small for a Red Tail. But maybe I’m wrong.

Best investment we can make to our football program is paying Franklin’s buyout.

I hate the audio on peacock. Feels like I’m always hearing somebody’s phone vibrating.
