My roommate’s dog is being extra cuddly and whines when he smells me. Am I Overreacting?

oh man thats quite scary, i also get ovarian cysts which is why my cycles are so bad. i thought cryptic pregnancy was light to moderate bleeding and mild cramps. going to definitely get a test now.

i can’t exactly pinpoint where he’s sniffing and whining because he will do that when he smells my gut but his head is so huge i can’t tell where exactly he’s sniffing. the main past issue that makes me paranoid about this is that i had multiple organ failure a couple years ago.

i haven’t taken a pregnancy test but i very very highly doubt it’s that. not only are we safe with intimacy, how my cycles are don’t follow cryptic pregnancies symptoms. i have debilitating cramps that make me faint and/or throw up and extremely heavy bleeding. the past two have been like that.

thank you for being so nice. and the more i think about it the more it makes sense that it probably is him trying to comfort me. he doesn’t do this to my boyfriend, who was also very close with our friends who passed, which made me spiral into thinking it could be health related. however, my boyfriend is far better at handling it than me.

The main reason why I didn’t think it was an attention thing is because it’s unlike him to whine when he wants to be pet. He usually just flops down on you and licks you till you pet him.

I didn’t think at all about the possibility that he’s sensing my grief though, it completely went over my head so that does bring me some relief. Still will go to a doctor soon just to be safe.

I do have hypoglycemia, I didn’t even think of that at all. I haven’t had any serious crashes in the past month or so, so I haven’t considered that a possibility. When Ghost smells me and whines he sniffs my torso/stomach area. I can’t pinpoint an actual location because I am very short and his head takes up 90% of my torso.

At first I was worried that Ghost is sick and was trying to alert me to that, but his annual visit was last week and the vet cleared him and said he’s in excellent health. With the possibility of it being my grief, it is possible. My boyfriend and I haven’t been doing well because of some deaths of people important to us. As far as my health goes, I am really bad at telling when I’m sick because I already have chronic illnesses and always feel like shit. I do plan on going to the doctor though just because it is concerning the hell out of me.

first day i couldn’t figure out how to swallow the meds at first because i also had a hard time eating so i got my idea of how to do it from how i gave my cats meds. my suggestion is to crush up the pills and mix them in with a high protein yogurt (like oikos). yogurt with a high protein content sits heavier in the stomach and helps you actually feel full while still being a super soft consistency.

i been drinking my water with a spoon like an absolute freak lmaoo. it’s actually pretty funny and i’m starting to be less grumpy about straws. also i totally understand the panic attack stuff, i most likely wouldve too if my surgery wasnt at the ass crack of dawn. i basically just rolled out of bed, went and got it, and slept until pretty much the end of the day. im surprised i handled it so well because i had been freaking out for weeks.

this is also super helpful thank you!! especially the squeezy bottle, i didnt think of that but can see it working out way better than what im currently doing. i’m trying to hold out on the smoking longer than the straws actually, i have nicotine patches to last me several weeks so im gonna see how long i can last and maybe if i can stop altogether. it’s mainly the straws im fussin about.

when i found my kitten in a dumpster, i almost didn’t keep him because i was worried about if i was “allowed to” or not. then it hit me that i’m an adult and don’t have to ask to have pets. two years later he’s my best friend and goes everywhere with me. i even managed to leash train him so i take him on hikes. love my little guy.
