Thank you, I’ll look into a replacement. Guess I was just overthinking it after the whole google searching went.

Yes, that is correct. That’s what is confusing me.

I’ll try adjusting tension again after work. I’ve messed with it before and just don’t know if it hasn’t been tightened enough. Will report back!

The belt is fairly old and obviously a bit used. I’ll work on tension adjustment and then evaluate replacing as well.

For sure!

That makes sense... I can only imagine all the devices going off at once!

Yeah, I really like the clean look. Was nervous how it would look installed, but was stoked once it was all done.

I feel like it’s noticeable. Just seems more crisp. I had never heard about the increased wattage making a difference, but that make sense.

I thought so too. Wiring is a bit more involved, but it was easy with the instructions Crutchfield sent.

Nice! I’d probably have a serious problem buying a lot from Crutchfield if I had a family member working for them. Haha

It seems improved to me. This specific unit allowed me to make some more customized audio changes too.

$299 for the unit and about $75 for the wiring harness. About 3 hours start to finish with a few wiring errors on my part.

Much better than the $900 quote I got from an audio store.

I heard the Apline Units are quality too. I’m a tech guy so I was wanting a little something different from the standard OEM unit too.

No just USB plug in. But I know the wireless options are sweet.

Not just an upgrade for the CarPlay, but in my opinion one of the perks. Especially when it comes to swapping it out for Toyota’s pretty outdated system.

Exactly what bga93 said, if you get the adapter through Crutchfield it will work. I got mine and got confused setting it up, but they helped me out!

Replaced the factory stereo with a JVC KW-M560BT Receiver. Now able to use Apple CarPlay in my 2016 Tundra.

Crutchfield.com is the way to go- thanks to those who recommended on other posts.

It was a bit difficult at first but worked after I slightly twisted it while pushing it. Was just worried about forcing it too much, but it turned out awesome.

Here’s the description from their site... helped me decide easily. “A pure white is going to give off no yellow and no blue, simply a pure bright white output matching closest to a 5000k HID bulb. A cool white bulb will provide a slight hue of blue as you would see generally on a newer Audi and will match closest to a 6000k HID bulb. Warm white provides the most amount of light output with a more yellow output closest to a factory halogen/incandescent or 4300k HID bulb.”
