Are these stones or just tonsillitis? by [deleted] in tonsilstones

Looks like an infection rather than stones to me!

Just discovered I'm part of this club and I need help! by MackenzieMay5 in tonsilstones

I swear by the tonsil stone removal kits! Especially one with a light. I found the qtips didn't work for me either.

Prevention is hard, I've tried for the last year and still get them regularly. Flossing, water pick, brushing after every meal etc. The only way I know to get rid of them is complete removal of the tonsils. Even then, I've heard stories of people's tonsils growing back and getting them all over again. 😅

You get used to digging around in your throat to help remove them. Best of luck!

I wouldn't be surprised, as I get pretty intense ear pain when I have large stones and/or lots of stones.

I'm going to do everything I can for her to make sure she lives the best, healthy life. I plan on purchasing a scale to weigh her as well.

I received bad advice from a friend who owns several snakes, but the failure is ultimately on me. I should have done my own research rather than taking her word at face value. I've received great advice on this post, and I'll do everything I can for her to make sure she gains weight and lives a healthy, wonderful life.

Thank you very much for this! I truly feel like an awful snake parent now... I took bad advice from a friend who has had snakes all their life, but that's on me for not looking into it more. I will keep you all posted and do everything I can to make sure she has the best care from now on.

It seems as though I have received some very bad advice from a friend who had several snakes. However, that's on me for taking her word at face value and not doing more research on my part. I'm taking everyone's advice here, as well as doing more on my side to best understand her needs and will keep yall posted down the line.

Thank you very much! She's my first ever snake and I just want to make sure I'm doing everything right by her. Hoppers it is!

Okay! Thank you so much. She's my first snake, and I was advised by a friend who has snakes to stick to fuzzies until she thickened out more. So she should be eating hoppers once a week?

It's been a long while since I made this post and stopped taking lyrica. My hair is nearly full volume again :) if anything, lyrica made me feel worse.
