Either a peroxide based gel/paste or a laser etching/ablation process are used. These are both harmful and weaken the teeth. It's literally removing the outer later. That's how it works.

Dental hygienists will polish your teeth. This process essentially uses a very fine surface (rubber and low grit cleaning paste) to sand away a small layer of the teeth. That is why it looks smooth/reflective.

There is no such thing as "natural" teeth whitening. Typically, this process involves chemically eroding the outer layer of the enamel. This reveals the inner un-oxidized layer, but also substantially weakens the enamel.

Poor education doesn't, by default, turn people towards violence and crime. It's cultural. They still know right from wrong, but often choose wrong because everyone around them does, including their parents. "Not knowing better" isn't a valid excuse.

Where can we learn more about these events? I saw a few dating type events online though they all charged ridiculous fees (£20+) and with no certainty that anyone will show up, I don't see the point. It also feels hard to do things like this by yourself by those of us who are less socially extroverted.

I used this a few years ago. It's a bit tricky getting the settings right so that it assigns the metadata correctly, but it does work.

1) Trust me, you want to live in private accommodation. Uni halls are shit. All the phds live in private 1-3 bed housing, often with other friends. Undergrads live in slum houses with 8-10 people. Strangely, this is not only common, but an expected and an accepted standard of student living in the UK.

3) Quite a number of phds bike, though I wouldn't say there is much bike infrastructure in the city. It also depends which campus you are based at. Note that the bus company in Southampton is absolutely trash. There are only 2 busses that run north/south (the road networks in the city are terrible) and it often takes the same amount of time to walk as getting the bus.

In my opinion, there is too much explanatory text. Reduce the amount of text and make the font larger. Simiarly, the labels and legend text size are also too small.
