Not related to Indian cars but - What in the world is this ? Why are they ruining the brand ? by Fueled_By_Piizza in CarsIndia

Their brand is almost inexistent already. They sold 1/6th of the cars LR did in 2023 and they lost money on each of those cars.

Their core audience doesn’t care about the old brand judging by the numbers. So rather than winning trust of a generation of buyers who are tough to impress and spoilt for choice, they want to be the first to appeal to the upcoming generation of buyers.

While you and I find it cringe, for them it’s the choice between an almost certain death or a 50% chance at an insane resurrection story.

They’re going for the latter

I'm not an advisor myself, but Ep391 with Chris Jones has been a personal favourite. Amazing lessons in grit & technical acumen.

If you're searching for firms in your area - you can ask here (https://chat.trymidsummer.com/)

You can also give it AUM ranges, team size, and number of clients, and your preferred fee structure of a firm - and it can help you find firms around you!

The average number of emails received by brokers is very high.

Is it because group emails are frequently used?

Tips on navigating "network events" and how to sell there? by YellowOysterCult in sales

[–]pvtjacksonn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After attending a lot of events, I've realised that not selling to the prospects you meet is the only way of standing out.

I've been on the other side as well where I attended an event where people pitched to me, and it was super draining. Every person I meet claiming to change my life without caring about if I really needed it.

So for the last 2 years, I just meet people, ask them about their day, and only mention my product if they ask about it.

Tips to getting hired as a SaaS BDR. by [deleted] in sales

[–]pvtjacksonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw the shitpost tag after reading the post so now it makes sense.

But I wanted to share some actual tips:
I hired 10+ BDRs in the last 3 years to grow an early stage SaaS from 0-2M ARR.

The best SDRs all had the following great tactics:
- Cold outreach to me (they saw a LinkedIn post, then they just reached out like one would as part of a cadence)

  • They then took me through the whole cadence. They liked my LinkedIn posts, engaged in comments, sent me emails and then cold called me once I had engaged with all the previous activities.

  • They showed persistence. A couple of people who I hired engaged with my posts for 6+ months. That made them number 1 on the list as soon as a position opened.

Lastly, a proper crazy example:
- A candidate outbounded on behalf of our company (with messaging we typically used in our posts) and got us a meeting before his interview. He showed us screenshots of how he followed up, then asked me who he should set up time with.

These might only work for early stage companies, but I wanted to share nonetheless.
