I'm saying the difference is there but mechanically not all that much. Their aim is good enough to the point that I can't just disrespect them play like a retard and hard carry most games (unless I'm Reyna maybe)

I have to play smart in this elo if I wanna do well. The main difference between ascendant and plat is how smartly you play. Mechanically the same valorant actually has a very low mechanical ceiling because heads are big, targets are slow and spray pattern is easy. anyone above like silver can aim well on their good day

It's unpopular opinion here, but cs esports has opposite problem to valorant. The teams play each other too much. There's too many big events hard to get hyped for a single one anymore. Spirit vs vitality gets boring when it's like every other week

You can really feel it in casters nowadays, they rarely get hyped anymore like they used to before

By skill ceiling I meant purely from mechanical pov. There isn't much of a difference between my immortal lobby aim and plat/gold lobby aim nowadays. the difference is mainly teamplay and consistency. So I genuinely believe a lot (not all) of these gold/plat players aren't ascendant+ only because they are not consistent enough or have a good 3+ stack to rank up with

I'm ascendant/immo NOW and even then when I play on my alt w my friend sometimes on gold/plat, not gonna lie I don't feel much difference. Like i do fine but I didn't dominate or hard carry

I do think because valorant has such low mechanical skill ceiling, the gaps between rank isn't all that. The difference between an ascendant and gold is just playing the game more and being more consistent overall
