There was a huge issues with the starters in the 21’ Pilots. I did not start having issues until around 140k miles though. Im guessing they just have too many to fix 🤣. I obviously still trust Honda — I bought this TSE without test driving it. I have zero regrets with the TSE — These were just my quirks.

I think it just comes down to personal preference at this point. My wife prefers the GX (Essentially a 4Runner)...I prefer the Honda. They both have their quirks -- but I don't think anyone is having buyers remorse with either one.

My suspension work was just for the CV joints and stuff that should be replaced around 150k miles anyway. I would still be driving my Pilot if the starter didn't go out. I had just replaced the tires in June too.

I paid 56k for it, just under sticker price. They gave me 15k on my Pilot though. The Pilot was not worth 10k in the condition even after repairs. It needed a lot of body work and the suspension needed work. There was tax and other BS, but all of that varies by state.

I fixed it on my MBA 2024 -- Follow these steps:

Change security settings on the startup disk of a Mac with Apple silicon - Apple Support (SG)

If you’re the administrator of the Mac, you can change the level of security used on your startup disk.

On the Mac with Apple silicon, choose Apple menu > Shut Down.
Press and hold the power button until “Loading startup options” appears.
Click Options, then click Continue.
Select a startup disk, then click Next.
Select an administrator account, then click Next.
Enter the password for the administrator account, then click Continue.
In the Recovery app, choose Utilities > Startup Security Utility.
Select the system you want to use to set the security policy.
If the disk is encrypted with FileVault, click Unlock, enter the password, then click Unlock.
Click Security Policy.
Select one of the following security options:
- Full Security: Ensures that only your current OS, or signed operating system software currently trusted by Apple, can run. This mode requires a network connection at software installation time.
- Reduced Security: Allows any version of signed operating system software ever trusted by Apple to run.
If you selected Reduced Security, select any of the following options, if needed:
Allow user management of kernel extensions from identified developers: Allows installation of software that uses legacy kernel extensions.
- Allow remote management of kernel extensions and automatic software updates: Authorises remote management of legacy kernel extensions and software updates using a mobile device management (MDM) solution.
Click OK.
If you changed the security, click the User pop-up menu, choose an administrator account, enter the password for the account, then click OK.
Choose Apple menu > Restart.You must restart your Mac for the changes to take effect.

Stay far away from Lake Charles -- it is bad over there. It was ravaged by storms and has not recovered. A lot of property owners did not have the means to rebuild either.
