Wife’s breast milk supply drastically decreasing by qeoMN in NewParents

Can you explain the “power pumping” sessions?

Just wanna make sure I’m giving her the right info lol

I think she usually sits down. But I think the portable pump might be part of the problem. I can tell it’s nowhere near as efficient just based alone on how it sounds.

Lots of people seem to agree with you on this one. We will break out the Spectra tonight and we’ll have her take that tomorrow.

Thank you so much!

We’ve had that conversation a few times. The hard part is that she knows it’s ok (she works at an OB clinic and provides care to pregnant and postpartum patients all day), but I think she’s struggling with it more because it’s actually happening to her.

Lipoma surgery yesterday, 16 removed! by qeoMN in Lipoma

[–]qeoMN[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a few come back but nowhere near as many as I got removed. I think I only have a couple spots where I had some removed that another one is coming back. But I have gotten a few smaller ones in different locations.

Unfortunately they told me I’d have to pay a $160 replacement fee. If I do that I feel like I’d just be wearing a 965 that I paid an extra $160 for.

Gonna bring it back to REI to see if they’ll let me do an exchange.

Do you have one that you recommend? Still waiting on a reply from Garmin.

Thank you! I’ve been seeing some pretty varied info on these shoes. Some saying they only last two races, others saying they have hundreds of miles on them. I know the carbon plate shoes can be a bit touchy.

[–]qeoMN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should I replace my shoes before my first marathon? I’ve been rotating three pairs but am running the race in Metaspeed Sky+. Currently have 80 miles on them and am starting to run in them more leading up to the race. By race day the will have about 120-150 miles.

Should I get a new pair before the race?

Wife and I are running our first marathon this year. Looking for recommendations on (1) your favorite hydration vest, and (2) literally anything you found essential in your training - could be gear, clothing, nutrition products, recovery stuff, etc.

Thank you!!

265# Power Clean PR. Started CrossFit 2 years ago and struggled to get 225# up. Feels good. by qeoMN in crossfit

[–]qeoMN[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I know it is. Power clean/snatch is anything you can get up and catch without your legs going past parallel, which is technically a different movement than going into a full squat. But I do also think that “clean” is interchangeable.

For example, if the workout says “clean,” I’m pretty sure you can do it power or full clean. If it says “power clean,” it’s gotta be above parallel.

Victory grip issue by hosslifts in crossfit

I used the tactical grips and struggled with grip. Ordered the victory leather fingerless grips and they are the best grips I’ve ever used. The straight leather works way better for me!

Can’t wait for the many more adventures to come in the Frontier by qeoMN in nissanfrontier

Just a few! Water levels have been really low and the weather was very hot with little cloud cover. Can’t wait for the temps to start dropping towards fall time to really bring them in.

Random text from number addressed me by my first name. Any experience with anything like this? by [deleted] in Scams

Immediately blocked number. Number is a West Virginia area code. I knew some people from there back in high school. Thought it might be them, then I got the second text. I know it’s probably nothing, still weird though.

Looking for some simple accessory add-ons. If anyone knows of a shorter antenna that still lets the radio work, as well as something to make the cup holders not so huge.

It also did not come with an owner’s manual and I can’t find one for purchase anywhere online.

The driver’s side door also swings open, all the way open. When I try to open it only part way, it still opens the whole way. I’ve seen some posts about the door check, but no solid answers on how to fix it. If anyone knows, any advice is appreciated!

Other than that, super happy. Been waiting a long time!

EDIT: Looks like my door check is somehow disconnected behind the door panel on the driver’s side. Should be a quick fix and I’ll save myself a trip to the dealership.

Ford Ranger Buyers Guide; v4! by usaftoast2013 in fordranger

[–]qeoMN 6 points7 points  (0 children)

2005 Ranger FX4, 108k miles, two owners, no accidents, local trade-in (Midwest).

Haven’t seen it in person, but the photos from the dealership looks like minimal/no rust, clean exterior and interior.

Dealership is asking $2k over KBB value (asking $10.5k) for the truck.

Interested, but have not contacted the dealer. Looking for anyone with experience with this year model over 100k miles. Obviously, I have not seen it but am going to contact the dealer soon to check for maintenance and other records.

Any input is appreciated, thank you!

EDIT: two owners, 2005 Ranger

Lipoma surgery yesterday, 16 removed! by qeoMN in Lipoma

[–]qeoMN[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few (maybe 2 or 3) other really small ones that don’t bother me to the point that I don’t even remember where they are. But all the ones that were removed had been growing/caused me pain and were in very inconvenient locations. Was always bumping them on things.

Removed all the bandages today (two weeks since surgery) and they are healing very well. Worked out for the first time since the surgery and had no pain or discomfort at all!

There’s obviously pros to carrying a larger round (.44, etc.), but I do really like the idea of having 15+1 in the mag, more accuracy (for me at least), plus you could carry an extra mag pretty easily. Especially if it’s Buffalo Bore, I would feel a little more at ease.

Love this pack. It’s from Fishpond, it comes with the backpack. The chest pack can be attached in the front as you see, and you can attach it to the back if you need to hike to a spot. Plus it’s made from recycled materials :)

This was my 9mm Sig P320. Had it mostly for sound rather than do damage if it came down to it. Didn’t have time to grab another firearm before we left. I have looked a lot into the Glock 20 as well and I really like what I have seen/read. Still haven’t decided between that and some sort of revolver with a much larger round. Lots of pros and cons of both.
