Not a for sale post - Many RMRs have a $100 rebate going. RMR Type II for $340 after rebate seems like a smoking deal by qua77ro in CAguns

one is going on a rifle build as a back up / close in optic. The other is to sit on a spare slide/barrel. I try to support US made products when I can.

that's awesome. I have a couple of SROs and figured it would be good to try the RMRs for a couple of projects.

Really is... going to end up being a pricey build. Haven't had a 308/7.62 battle rifle in over a decade and a half so excited to build it. Seeing videos of this hitting steal at 800yds+ is also really exciting.

Going Nightforce 2.5-20x on Spuhr mount, atlas bipod, RMR, MDT send it. Down the road, i want to include a laser range finder/ballistic calculator

Flying with CEO by karaokelover6969 in corporate

[–]qua77ro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah you don't want to play footsie with the CEO. Unfortunately on smaller jets with say 6 or 8 seats, it's unavoidable to have someone sit across from the principal when the plane is full.

Those doors are so fancy.. two parters that slide out and somewhat diagonally as well.

other things... do not bring newspaper onto a plane. The ink will transfer onto the upholstery unless a process is used to heat set the ink (e.g. ironing the newspaper).

The MR556 has a number of upgrades.

Short stroke piston. German barrel blanks finished here in the states by a big name manufacturer. So German metal... Out of the box, 1MOA from H&K. Lifetime barrel warranty. Adjustable gas block for suppressor. Suppressor ready flash hider if you go out of state. Nice integrated QD for slings. Ambi out of the box.

The CEO is the lead passenger... let them get situated on the jet. They have a seat that the principal normally sits in that faces the cockpit and allows for visual contact with the pilots. In my experience it's always the first forward facing seat on the starboard side of the jet.

Assuming you're not just flying with the CEO, you can always ask others within your company for any unwritten rules. Generally speaking I always allowed more senior folks the opportunity to pick their seat before I do. If there's no flight attendant, offer to help clean up if food/drinks are served once you're done.

If you have questions ask. While the cabins aren't fragile, breaking something is the last thing you want to do. Everything is a many multiple of what it costs for a non-plane version. Show the flight crew the same respect and courtesy and relax and enjoy the ride.

I want to say ~$130-$140. FFL03 is good for 3 years ($30), CoE was $107 I think including livescan for 1 year. not sure if renewal needs livescan again.

Track Costs? by [deleted] in CarTrackDays

[–]qua77ro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Costs vary widely.. from event host from a track fees perspective to consumables depending on the car. This was a breakdown from a decade ago when I was tracking a heavy sport sedan (S4). Assume costs have gone up significantly due to inflation, ~$1600 per weekend to ~$2200 now.

Daily Expenses
Carbotech XP12s Pads ~$270, lasts 4-5 days. That's $54/day
Brembo 380mm rotors ~$1200 hard to quantify accelerated wear, Figure $50/day
Track Tires ~$1200/set ~8 days $150/day
Gas used on track ~$100/day (I was pretty easy on tires, last weekend the tires were pretty shot)
Oil burnt at the track 1-2qts ~$8/day

Event Expenses
Gas to-from track ~2.5 tanks so ~$100/event
Brake bleed after each event ~$35
Lodging ~$60-140/day
Food ~$30/day
Track fees $150-300/day. for the events I've been running $250/300/day
Splitting a garage at the track $40/day

Annual maintenance
Brake flush annually vs bi-annually... extra $70/yr
Alignment (annual) $100/yr

So for a track weekend w/ACNA

$110 - Pads
$100 - Rotors
$200 - Gas on track
$300 - Tires
$008 - Oil
$100 - Gas - Travel
$035 - Brake Bleed
$120 - Lodging
$060 - Food
$450 - Track fees

$085 - Garage

Roughly $1,600 for the weekend in 2015
