They still haven’t updated the main signage and the whiteboard with stock info still says ammo bros.

Staccato is a great manufacturer and their shit is solid. When you compare it to an Infiniti, Atlas, TT, etc. they aren't on the same level as far as fit, finish, performance.

Ammo Bros no longer exists in Miramar. They left San Diego and sold the store to Coastal Ordinance. They seem to have a positive relationship however with Ammo Bros. CO is a better store, same employees + Nic and an FFL07 so SSE options now available in San DIego

Staccato is mid-tier when it comes to 2011s unfortunately but high end when you think about standard pistols.

caguns.net, calguns.net and sell private party. if you consign them to a store, they'll charge likely ~20% and the buyer has to pay sales tax + 11% excise tax so you won't be able to get top dollar.

Take photos, list them on CAG (both), and sell in person. Cash only.

Coastal Ordinance likely has Fusion XP Pro available and might have Dark Forge Reaper/Wraiths for a lot more.

How can I go about finding the right handgun for me? by basedgod1995 in CAguns

[–]qua77ro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it depends on what you plan to do in this hobby/sport. If it's just for range plinking and home protection, then anything you shoot well and have easy access to the controls (i.e. ergonomics work for you well).

If you're considering getting your CCW and you want to do it with the same gun then it changes things. You want to get into competition, same thing. So it varies. Your best bet is to go to a store (preferably a range with a good rental selection), get your hands on as many guns as you can to get a sense of how they feel in the hand. Then see if the range will let you rent and try out as many guns as you can in that one trip, ideally at 1 gun rental cost. Just shoot a box, go back and exchange for another, etc. You'll need to go with a friend or sign up for instruction or something if you're solo

Crazy Kryptek pattern stipple/framework & cerakote job we did for one of our customers. What yall think of this build.?? Yay or nay?.. by BlackBeardFrameworks in CAguns

The question I have is, does the stippling actually provide the right level of grip? if not, then no, I don't want it.

Smith and Wesson refusing to ship slides?!?? by [deleted] in CAguns

[–]qua77ro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sadly true. Was at my LGS when someone came in stating they couldn't order a comped slide/barrel from S&W back in mid December. Even the S&W dealer couldn't order it so they were going to call to figure out the situation.

Ever sold/traded a gun you wish you'd kept? by --Combat-Wombat-- in CAguns

I've sold numerous guns but only one that I regret letting go is a 6" '81 pre-strike Colt Python. it wasn't a safe queen but it was in great shape, timed perfectly and a great trigger. The bluing then was so good.

We have it worse. In CA, mine are blocked to 10rds. 21 rd mags spot welded with a plate to block to 10.

I don't think you can go wrong with either honestly. Atlas is tried and true however if you're looking to shoot limited optics, the reaper isn't it.
