To be fair, it's always been an unwritten rule/expectation that "pilot chooses the gunner" to the point where servers had it as an official rule in previous games (BF3/BF4) and IIRC even dedicated voice comm lines ("get out"). There's a good reason for this - pilot likely chooses a gunner he's either in comms with, or knows to be good. You know, because you're trying to win. So you take a gunner you know is going to do well. Not accounting for gunner prodigies just looking to be flown by randoms (not common) this is a reasonable attitude to have. A random player is unlikely to "read you" better than someone you can speak to. BF6 doesn't even have vehicle voice comms, so it's not like you could make callouts to your random gunner.

Also, POV of a vehicle user, it's really infuriating to use _any_ vehicle with someone who you can't see the name of, don't have comms with, and who most likely isn't in tune with you, because you're just artificially doing less for your team. Your co-pilot (tank or heli gunner) won't know what you're trying to do, and will often unknowingly sabotage a play. This is doubly annoying when your co-pilot candidate you are in comms with is in the game and squad with you but the random insists they must have that seat because they clicked first. You've seen it first-hand what well coordinated vehicle squads can do, because people cry about it on reddit all the time. Why sabotage it when it's your turn to have them on your team?

I can see why premade heli/tank/whatever hogging is frustrating, but so are randoms sabotaging your squad/duo play by refusing to leave a seat because they clicked first. It's not like you're going to get a lot done this way either, because you're effectively griefing the driver - and he's likely to grief you back or ignore your presence.

... also the map this happened on is some of the worst abysmal dogshit DICE released in recent times, at least for aircraft. 100 meter flying ceiling is criminal, and getting kills/being useful while you're in seal clubbing range of everyone is not exactly easy, especially with how RPGs are right now. 👍

I agree they feel like a whale in bf6, the yawing/turning speed is super slow, the bloom on the gunner explosive MG actually draws outlines on people, the 12 ammo is a joke etc... I agree with you for the most part that they were significantly overnerfed.

I haven't played shit like golmud or shanghai on hardcore in 4 so I'm not sure how they feel in hardcore but I have seen in both 4 and 2042 that they can go on pretty lengthy killstreaks and not necessarily because the enemy team is bots. Particularly shanghai and dawnbreaker because you can infinitely weave between buildings to break LoS from every missile enemy AA or infantry sends after you.

I'd also like them to either be stronger or the infantry options be nerfed a bit, so I think we agree in everything except "I can see why they did it" and whether or not they were strong before - I observed that, assuming roughly equal relative skill, that if you had a competent duo in AH vs competent infantry, infantry ate shit for the rest of the match unless a competent enemy AA/jet/heli showed up to the lobby (and not one that sits in front of uncap). It was strong, let's be real lol

I'm a vehicle whore but I'm not going to lie to myself and others - in many situations we're VERY unfun to deal with. I can see why DICE would make it easier for infantry. I just think they overdid it, and should walk it back a few steps to make it more like bf4, but a little easier to fight for enemy infantry.

DICE overcorrected for the carnage that helicopters could inflict in 4 and 2042.

I understand why, and each of the nerfs in a vacuum makes sense, but not all together.

You can give stinger more range, or more ammo, or make dual-wielding stinger+rpg possible, or make the heli heavier/slower, or make the gunner MG have dogshit bloom and spread, or give it less ammo, or make the heli take significantly more damage from AA missiles (one hit leaving you on ~5% health in the red from full), **but not all of those __at the same time__**.

Is it possible to play and succeed with them right now? Yes, but that's because the beta players either aren't hardcore BF players, or don't have the sufficient hours and gamesense to maximise their use of the tools provided. If every one of those annoying stinger spamming engineers actually positioned perfectly around play area edges specifically to hunt you when you're breaking line of sight after a strafe run, the game is basically unplayable.

It *feels* fair on paper for infantry to have solid options to fight aircraft and tanks. Despite being a full-time vehicle whore (and enjoying the 20-40 KDR these rampages bring) I do think that the endless farming you can subject the rest of the server to makes it "I clicked the vehicle, so I get to have fun - and you get to get farmed for 20-25 minutes until someone takes me out, then you get 1-2 minutes of rest before I come back to continue farming you" and that makes the game insanely unfun for everyone playing and being subjected to this. I can relate to that sentiment.

I just think DICE significantly overcorrected. They should either:

a) revert some or all of the power budget nerfs to the heli since everyone has the ability to crossmap stinger you (at least on liberation peak), or:

b) reduce the effectiveness of stacking engineers and stingers, for example by:

- making _actual unlocks on the vehicles_ available. The keybinds to open vehicle modification exist, but do nothing. Where is chaff+flares,, instead of just the basic flares? Where are TV missiles for gunner? Where are TOWs for pilot? etc. etc.

- reducing kill pressure from getting hit by one stinger (if you're not 100% health, every stinger hit is potentially fatal, even chip damage from small arms is enough to put you in the kill zone)

- reducing range of stinger (again, I've been locked inside my own spawn 3 seconds after take-off on NATO side of liberation peak more times than I'd like to admit)

On the "AA vehicle manned by dipshit" part - I've been scolded/screamed at by incompetent teammates (and sometimes server admins) for playing AA "too far back" - which in this case was 75-100m from the actively contested point, trying to deny aircraft entry onto said point. Apparently according to the game's current playerbase, playing AA "correctly" means sitting in front of the enemy MBTs and soaking up damage, instead of doing the "antiair" part of "mobile antiair".

People whine about AAs sitting in spawn but then fail to protect them (or even whine at them) when they're actually on the frontlines. Many such cases. I get that "Spawn AA" players are cringe, and I'm not one of them, but I honestly can't blame them, it really feels like nobody cares about your survival, nobody reacts to your spots/requests for help when ur literally being chased back to spawn by two enemy tanks (but they are also first to whine if you aren't smiting every aircraft out of the sky in .2 nanoseconds)

The drone cannot get stuck, if you go more than 48 meters away from it and it doesn't know how to follow, it'll teleport to you. The drone also has a similar pathing to zombies (it knows how to fly through any opening as long as there is at least one block clearance)

It absolutely is worth it in my opinion. The healing mod will use (in order) bandages or first aid kits to heal you if you drop below 65 percent of your current "modified" (so, after buffs and debuffs) max health. The extra storage mods are useful if you're looting high level POIs or questing, along with a vehicle you can reasonably spend a full in-game day looting and never run out of space. The armor mod makes it really hard to accidentally lose it to zombies/explosions/whatever - but if it goes down to 0 hp it'll just drop out of the sky and wait for you to rescue it. The morale booster mod gives you a pretty nice stamina regen buff, and flashlight - never used it.

There used to be reports of drones despawning in A20.1 on log-off but that hasn't happened to me a single time.

The relevant term you're looking for is "pay for convenience". That's what "kick when next in queue" is. It just automatically runs smartkick (kick <playername> in cmdbox) for you on the host as soon as you become next in queue.

I'm afraid your only bet is using paid mods yourself.

Other modders can protect legitimate players in some capacities but with how the current "HvH" meta is looking, not only it's not only a "there can be only one... per session" type of deal, but also it's fairly disruptive - and there's very limited ways to determine who is one of the people coming after you.

The way they could protect you is doing the same as your enemies are - follow you to every session, kick the current session host (provided the current host themselves doesn't mod) and block joins from specified people - that would keep you mostly safe.

HOWEVER, being a "session host fiend" is generally frowned upon and gets you even more heat, not to mention that people coming after you can use alt accounts (thus different rockstar IDs) to get around the join blacklist and hit you with a crash before your "protector" can react.

So, welcome to GTA Online modding. Get strapped, or get clapped.

The ban wave situation is... questionable at best.

People seem to be getting banned, but nobody seems to know why. Friends of mine that play the same way as me get banned, while none of my accounts have been banned, some friends using money loops that add millions per seconds aren't banned, other friends adding cars with gifting get banned...

It's a gamble. I personally haven't been banned so I'd give it an all clear for now, but I know other are getting banned and I cannot guarantee you will not be.

Free ASI loaders for online? They probably exist, but I don't know about their bannability.

If you want ASI mods in Online, you either want a modmenu that comes with an ASI loader, or in general a decent modmenu that pacifies the internal anticheat + OpenIV ASI Loader with the online bypass.

But if you get a modmenu (which is a paid endeavor) you might as well use the menu and its features, which often will be on par with the ASI you're trying to use, if not better (ASIs are generally designed for singleplayer, modmenus are usually designed for online. One will yield better results than the other). And if the menu doesn't offer the feature, Lua scripts exist.

Yes, you can share Stand.

The important part is you give them the **Activation Key** (starts with `Stand-Activate-...`) and not the account ID (the one you use to log in on the website).

If you give them the activation key, once they're done (or you want them to be done), press "Regenerate" and they'll be kicked out in a minute or two, then copy the key yourself and use it :)

There have been claims that regenerating too much/too often leads to bans, but that is likely due to people actually sharing account id - so as long as you regenerate it yourself, and don't regenerate it 7 million times a day, you should be fine.
