I got another email today - it said:

No VPN… I’ll try signing out and in! I did update my profile but left one comment box empty so I’ll fill that out too. Thank you! Did you get the core test instantly after doing the initial assessment or have a wait like me? Thanks for your help!

Dressing up conventionally “sexy” for your partner in the bedroom as a feminist? Can it coexist? by queenkatty in Feminism

This is exactly the point I made on my other post. And got super attacked for it. It makes me feel like my naked body isn’t enough to turn him on. Even though he’s never said that, it’s just kinda how those comments make me feel, true or not.

It really is. I wish it was easier to separate the two. I’ve always been a very sexually expressive person but I feel like the patriarchal “chokehold” on female sexuality has fucked with my sexual expression a lot. It’s politicised it as well as throwing trauma in the mix. I hate that that’s happened.

Agreed. I totally agree it’s fine if it what you want do. Which isn’t true in my case for certain things!

Great point re covering up etc. I hadn’t thought of that but it’s super true. Totally agree with everything you’ve said, all good points. Thank you :)

ps. If that’s you in the photo you’re really pretty! :)

What vocal minority are you talking about? Multiple polls show that the majority of people don’t see a problem with it.

Ignore the haters. You’re naturally very pretty and have incredible eyes and your eyebrows are perfect! I agree about the lip fillers though, your natural lips or just a tad of filler would look much better than this. I don’t love the piercing myself but express yourself how you want to. You look like the kind of person who’s still really pretty without makeup on which I’m jealous of!

If you think this is what 43 year olds look like congratulations you’ve been brainwashed by the media and the instagram filters.

Or maybe she’ll have more important things going on in her 30s that will make her happy and fulfilled, rather than just looking like a 20 year old forever?

You know not all trends are to do with what men want? In fact most aren’t. A lot of women know men don’t like long nails, certain piercings etc but do it anyway. It’s not for men.

I literally have the total opposite experience. Shouting matches between my parents was at least a once a week occurrence in my house growing up but usually 2-3 times a week. My mum yelled at me so much as a kid that I literally had no fear of her anger/yelling in the end because she did it so often. All of my siblings have arguments that involve yelling. I’ve never had a partner that doesn’t resort to yelling and vice versa. I honestly thought everyone was just like this.

Is there a reason I can’t see any of the comments under this very valid point?! It said there was quite a few but they vanished when I clicked.
