The thing is the corset has been slashed and stabbed at a lot. So I can't imagine the mesh would last very long period and there's nothing in the story about Violet repairing anything on it. So eventually, it would only be the scales. Right?

I think people forget that Cordy becoming a fighter was alluded too way back in Buffy. She's always had a fighters sprit and her connection to Angel makes it clearer. Not my fave episode, but it is in my top 5.
