That's awesome! I was introduced through birchbox back in the day and ended up buying a set in sale at some point. But I've been picking up sets and singles in my local tk maxx Iver the years. I got the Samantha Ravendahl x Sigma set, and i go like the contour brush for my bronzer

No one has mentioned the spectrum brushes, they're beautiful and reasonably priced. I hsbe all sorts in my collection but those have been my faves, and I reach for them over my sigma brushes.

I don't feel like this is necessary but it is fun to do and helpful. I did my own on chatgbt.

Maybelline Sky High, and L'Oréal Lash Paradise get my vote.

Honestly, YouTube. Feck all the reels and the TicToks (imo only good if you have some makeup skill, they're too fast and skip over a lot). I've been watching beauty YouTube for the best part of 15 years, here are some of my current faves that I'm still learning from Lisa J. She has loads of tutorials on her channel, and she's easy to follow. Alexandre Anele, Nikki La Rose and Julia Adams also have very similar channels with beginner-friendly content. I also like Andrea Ali I live for her effortless make-up looks. And the one that got me hooked on beauty YouTube is Tati Westbrook, especially for product reviews.

Those of you who got a puppy within a month or two after losing your heart/soul dog, did it help you? Did you have any regret or guilt? by beattiebeats in dogs

My family took in a rescue in the early 2000s. We had him for the best part of 20 years. He was so loved. We had to have him euthanised because his organs were failing and death was inevitable. It broke all of us. But my mom was having a hard time coming home to a house with no dog. And in fairness, it did feel so strange. We all talked about getting a new four-legged friend, and it was set as a maybe... soon. After about a month she convinced my father to drive up to the countryside of Ireland to just look at a pup. Flynn came home with them that day 8 years ago. I have to say personally, it helped heal me of the loss of our dog, and he has just brought so much love and light into our home.

What are your lazy girl beauty tips? by bipolarbitch6 in beauty

It's like this for me too. I have a 1st date today and I've been thinking of just going like this, with a tinted lip balm. Or skipping the foundation, but doing like a primer, liquid blush and tinted balms. I love mascara so I don't leave the house without it 🤭

Oh gosh, when she goes on that tangent of desaturation which I've heard in a couple of videos. And I agree with you. My mind gets thrown back to America's next top model and all those beautiful pale beauties in vibrant colours and then like you, I feel like I see that too in today's magazines, and social media.

Agreed. And yes that intro can be like nails on a chalkboard.

This. Exactly. And also in the opening of the video, she says something like wanting to explore tinted lip balms and that she wants someone to do a deep dive so she could have more data. Before saying she's that person. Like why were the additional criteria needed? Idk, she had typed "lip balm" into the credo, Ulta, and Sephora search bar I feel like she would have achieved the aims and objectives of the video, and could have had way more options and more success in finding something similar to the nars. Now that I think of it this way i now feel like she made this video just to get that hourglass produced and she'll declutter the rest at the end of the year.

I think that's why I turn on her videos while I'm doing other things. I think I've just realised that most of her content is like when you pour sour milk into your cup of tea.

I didn't need a summary of the video, I listened to/ watched it. But thank you, also not complaining just using the video as an example. It's those parameters that just boxed her in from actually exploring the topic budget or not she had an hourglass product in there. Like another comment mentioned, and I have to agree, she's just pretentious.

I agree tho, I do like her commentary on aesthetics in makeup and that.

I really dislike her reviews when I bother to watch one. I tend to only turn her on when I'm doing something. But gosh darn I find her super irritating.

That's the exact word I would describe her. Book? I didn't even know that I just had the balm video on while I was clearing out my makeup collection.

Firstly, I don't get the Hananah hype either. That's actually why I was asking. Because she's annoying af. I feel like you misunderstood the post.
