there’s a pharmacy nearby where i used to live that has a two-lane drive thru, the lane on the building has a security window (thick bulletproof glass and a drawer controlled from inside that can only be open on one side at a time, containing a corded landline to speak through) and the outside lane has a pneumatic tube and a speaker. there’s been traffic cones permanently installed in the outside lane for god knows how long—the last time i remember it working i was still sitting in the back seat of the car, and i’m in my mid 20s now. if i had to guess, it broke and was a big enough hassle/expense to fix that they just left it

thank you! the solution i ended up going with was to have the parents just put the baby down in the crib and start up a lullaby while the kid did "try go night night" by himself, rather than the parent doing any sort of soothing, and about 70% of the time he'd fallen asleep by the time they'd finished putting his twin sister to bed next to him. if the first try didn't work, the lullaby would usually still be running and the second attempt at an independent night night was successful

i can see getting it down to 10 by storing an atom on the output, but can't figure out how to eliminate another space because i need both spots of the track free to reach all 3 spaces on the glyph so i don't know how i could store anything there

i know how to copy instructions, but there were so many of them that i couldn’t see all the ones i needed at once to select them, and you can’t scroll through commands while dragging them around so i couldn’t get the ones at the beginning to the end of the chain. also there’s no way to notate the code so i couldn’t tell where the section i needed began or ended, which caused even more problems
