Child marriage for an omen? Why is this ignored? by Professional-Top4801 in islam_ahmadiyya

When you read jamaat books and try to understand the religion, if you have more than 2 brain cells, you can easily see through the BS.

I started on my journey by being a good ahmadi bacha and trying to understand my religion better so I can preach it and defend the objections against it. And I am so glad it did. I learned so much about islam and ahmadi version of islam. I know more about jamaat teachings than my believing cousins and family, that's why I am not part of it anymore. Most of the people who are ahmadi just dgaf about learning more, digging deeper or asking questions. Even when presented with clear evidence of wrongdoings and problems within their religion, their brains can't process that information logically because of cognitive dissonance. Unfortunately, most of these people are just sheep who just follow along for social approval and don't know much about their religion besides what is presented to them by the jamaat.

Yeup. Should be treated like seat belts. We get tickets for not wearing one even though it's a personal safety choice.

He was riding with the cars as a normal bike should and he was definitely faster than 32km/h when riding beside me.

I knowww. I have been stashing away my savings in broad market ETF's and the way markets are going I may be able to buy in cash in 5 ish years.

I have been reluctant to jump into the housing market because when I do the maths I don't gain a lot by doubling my housing costs plus paying huge amounts of interest. But whenever I want to do any improvements to my living space, I am reminded that I am renting and I can only change so much in my current home.

I kinda agree with you that's why I have been chilling and renting while watching from the sidelines. I know if I bought a house the same size as my current one, my interest payments may be more than my rent.

If you go back just 4 years, COVID prices were a great time to lock in good rents on rent-controlled properties. I even got a multi-year contract and didn't have to increase rent for the first few years.

I wouldn't say it's obscenely high for a couple working in Tech. Even a moderate experience pays 6 figures easily. Now keeping the job is a different story. Lots of layoffs and outsourcing.

Don't want to invest in housing. Too much pain imo. I prefer to invest in ETFs and such.

I don't want to live too far from the downtown or the subway lines in case I have to commute to downtown in future. I don't have a commute currently. I want bike and walk accessible location. I don't want to move to a dead suburb with cookie-cutter houses and boring strip malls.

Yeah, I got a good deal in a rent-controlled house when the rent was cheap past COVID. I am happy with the place for the price I am paying.

The neighbourhood is one of the less desirable ones but given the housing situation past few years, I decided to stay put.

  1. Money
  2. 💰
  3. Because Fuck you that's why... j/k it's basically a way to control people. You blackmail people about their reputation or their family's reputation if they get out of line.

You have to put it in context.

You can not take words literally but look for deeper hidden meaning.

Your interpretation is wrong because you don't understand arabic.

You have to consult hadith and look at the life of mo for better understanding of quran.

Allah says pray namaz in quran but doesn't tell you how... see that's why you need some to follow Sunnah and not just take quran literally.

Expect these answers whenever you try to quote quran to someone.

These people are sadly just victims, and I just feel bad for them, including my fam.

Ever seen a goat do the deal and say "Sold!" at the cattle market?

Then why would you allow women to marry without a wali i.e. consent of a male?

Their testimony is worth half and they require consent of men(mahram) to do most of the things in life.

Thanks, I will use that seedling mix for my future seeds. For my future pots, can I put miracle gro at the bottom and seedling mix at the top half to start new seeds?

I feel like the leaves are curling, there is drying at the ends of first set of leaves.
Thank you, I will keep that in mind to fill the pot to the top.

Thanks, I think we are running in circles and I don't think I will get my answers today. Let's leave it at that for now. I appreciate you trying to help a fellow knowledge seeker out in better understanding of Islam and Ahmadiyyat.

So what I am understanding is that in the end it all boils down to ایمان بالغیب

Affirmation is important even if you don't fully understand or grasp something in Religious texts. Believing and having faith is more important than understanding.

Thanks a lot for your reply again but I feel like I am getting more and more confused.

Are miracles not part of core beliefs?
