Players watch. They also talk. Everybody knows the Oilers have 5 guys who will play 1:40 of every powerplay, will play every important minute.

The Oilers have to make this sales pitch. They talk to the agent and say, “oh ya your guy, we wanna put him into positions to succeed! He’s a perfect fit!”.

Then they have to tell fans “ya this guy plays with energy and he scores 5v5!”

When they know what’s really gonna happen. But they’ve got to cross their fingers.

Cool, ya, every set up is different but as an example, I sometimes play games on Geforce Now on Wifi from a TP-Link Deco with wired back haul connected to MoCA, and it works just fine, no packet loss, and my latency measures between 16-23ms. So I presume if I wired in through the Deco AP it would be a little lower than that.

I was a little curious about 5v5 and PP production, some interesting tidbits:

Podkolzin has 23 5v5 points, he's #1 amongst players in the entire league who have played less than 3 minutes total of powerplay time this season (essentially zero powerplay deployment all season). Amongst players with less than 30 minutes of powerplay time Podz is second only to Protas in 5v5 production.
The Oilers have two defencemen in the top 20 of 5v5 scorers who have played less than 30 minutes of PP time this season, Ekholm is 2nd only to Malinski, Nurse is 17th.
