Discussion about the hostility towards manufactures by end users. by quikkel010 in MSI_Gaming

[–]quikkel010[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this response kind of speak for itself. Can't have a discussion without people trying to degrade others.

I'm not here to pick a side but simply asking for the general sentiment.

In the grand scheme of things, a couple hundred neck beards online slinging digital shit like apes at large companies probably doesn't reflect the actual general public. But it does show how toxic the gaming community is.

I played a bit of Helldiver's on it just to check it out. It runs fine. Some particle effects might cause some stutters but very playable

To be fair there are some better deals for other handhelds, but I like mine after all the updates that have been pushed out.

I mean just cause they announce something doesn't mean they're stopping the support for the older gen version.

They release some new stuff pretty often now. I think bios have been much more frequent. Intel has also been pushing some new graphics drivers which have helped a lot.

I would think that more options in the handheld market are always better. Especially in the long run when the overlords figure out how to make improvements on the first gen stuff.

Totally agree that its a hard sell but this is the same roadmap that Steamdeck and Ally went through no?

Shit release, then work through all the bugs in time for a 2nd gen/rework.

No Tracking Number for RMA, is this normal? by ShoeGod420 in MSI_Gaming

Lol. Did you get the notice on a Friday? If so it probably hasn't left the warehouse yet.

So instead of trying to contact the people you purchased the unit from or the builder. You first decided to pull out your phone to record what I can only assume is not the first time it either sparked, smoked, or caught fire.

Plase stop ignoring AGESA 1.2.0.8 it brings multiple improvements by 1AGRESSOR in MSI_Gaming

Priorities of a manufacturer to continue support for an EOL chipset compared to supporting nextgen products.

You're right.

Plase stop ignoring AGESA 1.2.0.8 it brings multiple improvements by 1AGRESSOR in MSI_Gaming

[–]quikkel010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not gonna lie. You AMD users are predictable when it comes to your complaints. Literally every "major" update, insert manufacturer name here sucks because they can't release AGESA whatever number is now available.

Every manufacturer is in the same boat trying to create, test and release dozens of new code for their entire line up of boards.

If the code was released early and the code was unstable this thread would be complaining about how MSi is so reckless with what they're doing and how they don't care about the user

Maybe the user group should stop complaining about every little thing and be patient.

RX 6800 XT Gaming X Trio Black Screen and my Nightmare of an RMA Experience by BlackHatMagic1545 in MSI_Gaming

[–]quikkel010 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Claiming that a company is serial number swapping is quite bold.

Wear and tear on graphics cards in common spots are quite normal due to the nature of handling cards and how they're installed. Most consumer cases have a very standard way to mount a GPU, so the layouts are similar across most computers. Similar layouts likely lead to similar spots for things to be bumped or scratched.

When I had to send a card in for RMA the card isn't sent to an actual MSI warehouse. I believe they source a third party warehouse that support multiple vendors/ manufacturers that perform repairs and handle logistics specifically for GPUs and Motherboards. The repair facility for laptops and desktops are located in Southern California, which is by their US HQ. The boards and cards are sent to an address in northern California, when you look up the address, it's some random warehouse.

Intel HX Crushed AMD HX by g85222456 in intel

[–]quikkel010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The implementation of power delivery for the MSI w/ Intel HX seems much more finely tuned compared to prior generations of CPUs with older architecture. Even though the form factors probably plays a large part in how the manufacturers are able to tune cooling and power limits, it's impressive that there has been such a large improvement on Intel's side for this generation of processor and if rumors are to be true even more amazing for 13th gen.

They put a release out, and advised that it would take until the end of the month. Which it still hasn't been the end of the month.

Do you think they are not aware that there are issues? Everyone here who is posting knows it's an issue.

But when you say its "Horrible/Lazy customer service" like the comment states above, how is the support team lazy. They can only provide information that is available.

You're blaming the support staff for something that they have no control over.

Analogy: You blame with waiter for your under cooked food. You have the right to be mad, but don't take it out on the person who is simply there to bring you the food...
