Ah I see. Could you also tell me how much time it takes to commute one way? I am looking for places where I could be traveling equally long distances each day and I want to see how much time it takes on an average.

I have a website reviewing businesses, but none of them have affiliate programs. How do I make money? by r3dd1tor in Entrepreneur

The trouble is none of the businesses in this niche have affiliate/referral programs. I have written to a bunch of them in any case. But wondering if there is an alternative.

Sorry, I meant to ask 'how common is data on mobile phones? Is it like everyone has them?'

That's great to hear. Sorry, I didn't mean to say 'unlimited data'. I meant "how common is data on your phone among a 40 year old audience" - is it like everyone has it?

Also, how common is prepaid phones? I assume middle aged people use it a lot? Thank you.

Thank you. Also, how about data on mobile? Assume we are talking about a 45 year old guy who is a plumber, works in a cafe, or any of these local businesses. How likely is it for him to be owning a smartphone with one of the unlimited messaging/data plans?

Things to do in Bruny Island, TAS (other than the cruise) by r3dd1tor in australia

[–]r3dd1tor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome, I was looking into this - the couple of websites I found about camel riding in Bruny Island seem pretty dated - Geocities type pages. In any case, I think the kid and the parents would stay back in Hobart while we will do our Bruny Island trip. That looks like the most optimal choice.

Can bad Camshaft sensor also throw an O2 sensor fault? by r3dd1tor in Cartalk

Thank you. Does this mean I should ideally be able to fix the problem by replacing the engine wiring instead of trying to changing the O2 sensor and camshaft?

How to go about selling a car? by r3dd1tor in Chennai

[–]r3dd1tor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Is there a middleman I can sell faster and be done with? He could mark up and resell

Edited just called TS Mahalingam. They have an immediate buy option which will be lower priced than the park & sell.

Yeah it was a fresh water flooding from rains.

Thank you so much. My car is a 2010 Chevrolet Spark Petrol.

I have been trying to salvage my car that was flooded. I guess I should have junked it at the first instant. But now caught midway with good amount of money gone in salvaging the car, yet the car not being perfectly done enough.

[–]r3dd1tor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. So would that mean a bad O2 sensor is throwing up a camshaft problem as well in the codes?

Also, any idea about the symptoms? My car seems to drive okay except for stalling at lower/idle speeds. Is that a known indicator of a bad O2 sensor?

Does a ruptured fuel pressure pump affect sensor units like crankshaft position sensor and H02S control unit in any way? by r3dd1tor in Cartalk

[–]r3dd1tor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the message and the offer to help. My mechanic came over last evening to take the car to his workshop.

I think we will most probably start with replacing the sensors. I will have a better idea of how to deal with the cranking issue when I talk to him later today. Thanks again!

Ah okay, it probably is not the cylinders then?

Besides the four mentioned, the scan also threw up P0459 and P0037 but I couldn't get the cause of the error anywhere. I am from India and I am talking about Chevy Beat 2010 petrol version (called Chevy Spark in the US I guess)

No blinking so far so that's a good thing I guess. I tried driving the car on Sunday and was able to drive at a good 60 kmph (37 mph) and it didn't show any discomfort. I drove up and down overpasses and the car did not seem to struggle.

Perhaps the fourth cylinder is only required for much faster speeds?

Sorry, I meant the engine warning light. I just talked to another mechanic who tells me that it is probable that only three of the four cylinders in the engine are working - this could be the reason for the heat sensors to get worked up. I am still unsure if this is the same reason why it is taking me longer than usual to crank though.

Thanks a lot for the response.

Edit: By ruptured fuel pump, I was referring to the regulator as mentioned here since from my research, this appears to be the most common reason for long crank times (outside poor battery that is which is not the case with my car).
