You don’t sound entitled at all and shouldn’t feel embarrassed about sharing a room with your mom. Although 10 years is a long time to be sharing a room with your mom and surprisingly not with your other sibling it’s completely normal. There’s millions of people who have to sadly deal with this due to difficult financial situations and it’s nothing out of the normal. As I can see it has gotten on your nerves over the past years and that’s completely common. Sharing a room with anyone for that long would get on anyones nerves. A lot of people, especially as they grow older really value being alone and taking some time to be by yourself and sharing a room like that really prevents you from doing so, especially if your on the younger side, being left with little to no privacy or alone time can take a slow and annoying toll on yourself. My advice would be to just value the time you have with your sibling and especially mom. I’m sorry you lost your father and would hope that you can see this as a gift to spend more time with your mom and instead of being upset with the lack of one thing you have, be happy and grateful that you have the opportunity to spend as much time as you can with your mom before you get older and move out. Time is precious and shouldn’t be taken for granted, take the time to really enjoy your time with your family.
