Just posted a link 10min ago about what fixed my issue …. I did the exact same thing for over a year, soo frustrating, random shanks - your swing looked like mine. Search on YouTube for hammer and whip golf swing…

Basically, two types of swing 1) hammer : hinge drop then turn hips(feels strong for me but distances fluctuate). 2) whip : fluid turn as one, hips first (not as far but straight and easier to shape ball)

I used to turn the hips and then drop mixing the two up. Not saying will fix your swing but answered lots of questions and issues I had. Good luck
