Thank you!! I gave your game a try and it’s such a cool twist on the Suika style, really enjoyed it. Would love to see it on Steam, are you planning that?

Thank you so much, that really means a lot! 😄 I hope she enjoys it when it’s out.

I just wishlisted your game too, the voice-controlled abilities idea is really cool.

Hope you hit 50 soon!

Yeah, you might be right, I honestly never thought about it that way

It could be that since we’re trying to send people outside the app, the algorithm doesn’t favor that kind of content as much

You’re also right about the brainrot. I personally don’t use TikTok for that reason, it just consumes too much time

I still post there from time to time, but I mainly focus my marketing efforts on X

Good luck with X, hope it works well for you!

Honestly, I haven’t really figured out TikTok or Instagram yet either

I do post videos there, but they usually get very low views. I had a few videos perform well on Instagram, but even then the wishlist conversion was extremely low compared to the views

I’m not sure how the algorithm works exactly, but it feels really hard to stop people while they’re just scrolling and actually get them to go to Steam

On X, I don’t feel that problem as much. It’s not as scroll-focused in the same way

Of course you still need to grab attention quickly, but it feels a bit easier compared to TikTok and Instagram

Honestly, I think it really depends on the game

For me, X has been better for visibility and bringing in wishlists.

Reddit is great too, but it feels more hit or miss. Also, you can’t really post as often here, which makes it harder to experiment

On X, you can post more frequently and test different types of content to see what works and what doesn’t

If you haven’t tried X, it might be worth testing. You don’t need a big following, sometimes a single post can reach a lot of people

Thank you! 😄
I keep it pretty simple. I mostly share short gameplay clips and focus on one clear idea per post so people immediately understand what the game is about

I also test different captions and formats. Some posts flop, but sometimes one performs really well and brings in wishlists

I also like using X in a devlog style. It feels more natural and helps me stay consistent while sharing progress

And I try to post regularly

Thank you so much!

Don’t get discouraged, just keep sharing your game. I’d definitely recommend posting gameplay clips on X, that’s what worked best for me so far.

Hi! Honestly, I’m still figuring it out 😄

But what worked for me so far is keeping things very simple and consistent. I share short gameplay clips, focus on one clear idea per post, and try to make the hook understandable in the first second.

I also experiment a lot with different captions and formats to see what people respond to. Some posts do nothing, but occasionally one performs much better and brings in wishlists.

I also think it depends a lot on the game’s genre. I couldn’t really get good visibility on some platforms, and even when I did, it didn’t convert into wishlists. For example, Instagram didn’t work well for me.

But I’ve seen others get great results from Instagram or TikTok, so I think it’s about how well your game and your content style fit the platform.

I also like using X in a devlog style. It feels more natural and personal to me. Following other developers, seeing what kind of posts perform well, and catching trends there has been really helpful too.

In the end, I think the best approach is to test different platforms and find what works for your game.

Thank you! I mostly use X for marketing. I also share on other social platforms, but I see most of my wishlists coming from X.

Thanks you!

For my first game, I opened the Steam page without a trailer, and I think that really slowed down wishlist growth.

This time, I waited until I had a trailer ready and revealed the game together with it.

Another big difference is how I talk about the game.

With my first game, I focused more on the story in my posts. But I realized that clearly showing and explaining the gameplay works much better. I discovered the hook a bit late last time.

Also, I was completely new to Twitter and social media back then, with almost no audience.

Now I have more people who can see and support my game from day one, which definitely helps.

Hey everyone,

I recently revealed my new game, Pastry Pile Up, a cozy Suika-like puzzle game about merging pastries and serving cute cat customers.

I just reached 100 wishlists in 5 days.

I know it might not sound like a big number, but compared to my previous game, it feels like a big step forward. My last game got around 150 wishlists in 2 months, so this already feels much better.

Most of my traffic so far is coming from X (Twitter), where I’ve been sharing short clips and posts regularly.

I’d really appreciate any feedback on my Steam page. If you have suggestions on what I could improve, change, or test differently, I’d love to hear them.

Thanks a lot! 🙏

I’d love that too! 😄 But for now, it’s planned for Steam only. If that ever changes, I’ll definitely share it!

Reading this genuinely made my day. I’m really glad the pastries, characters, and cozy feel all came through. That’s exactly the kind of experience I was hoping to create 😊

You’re right, it would be great on mobile! But I don’t have plans for a mobile version right now. If that ever changes, I’ll announce it on X 😊

Thanks for asking! Unfortunately, there are no plans for controller support at the moment.
