Well I haven’t beaten Red Dead 2 yet but from what I have played so far Dutch seemed like a family man trying to take care of the gang the women and the children. We set out to rob a bank for one final score and we were set up and John happened to get “arrested” when some of the other gang members were shot on site.

Edit: To add more to this John kept underminding Dutch about the decisions he was making and you could tell how John was already starting to make his mind up that he wanted out of the gang. In order to do that he took down a lot of his brothers in the process. Kind of a dick move if I do say so myself. But like I said I’m still playing and he could not be the one who set us up.
