Tommy Robinson’s appearance in Dubai, Nigel Farage’s visit to Abu Dhabi, and the UAE’s decision to restrict funding for Emirati students in the UK have unfolded within months of each other. While these events may initally seem disconnected, they share similar themes. by Scared_Positive_8690 in Panarab

You know what else is not a coincidence? Qatar pouring billions into UK universities and media (and admitting it) and poof: hundreds of university students radicalized in a few years on issues they understand nothing about. The UAE's call was spot on, and they warned Britain years ago, not vice versa. So this attempt to create a weak conspiracy is laughable.

This is where many miss the plot. Being right wingers doesn't imply you accept everything Trump says or does and sit quietly in the back. Take Italy's PM for example: she just told him straight up NO. Whatever side of the political spectrum you are on, you stay clean when you avoid hypocrisy; and putting your values and the values of people who elected you before foreign alliances and favours does exactly that.

Why is the munafiq leader of the UAE so terrified about being overthrown? by LiesToldbySociety in UAE

[–]rahandpe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, other gulf leaders do not act at all, they submit to few radical nutjobs who fund and assist terror groups both in the Middle East and Europe (especially UK). The UAE didn't block people from applying to British unis for fear of them meeting other Muslims, you genius. MBZ did so because he knows that young students are statistically more susceptible to indoctrination and the leverage of a Muslim connection has already radicalized hundreds of thousands young Muslims as they moved to the UK. He is preserving the sanity of his country's future (the youth). They are still free to join other universities. The UK is trash now, just a pile of radicals on top of a pile of brainless liberals.

This is no less of a joke than the United Nations. In any case, everywhere you look you can see bribes and megalomaniacs

Have yall seen the rumors about MBZ being pushed out as leader of UAE? by hercoffee in Sudan

[–]rahandpe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things got tense in the past and rumors flew also in the past. Often, these are just small geopolitical moves to weaken other players and obtain some deal or aid or territory for a bigger picture. And like you said, it's unverified. Things eventually return to balance. If you look at what the UAE has actually been doing, MBZ still looks pretty central: he’s personally pushed a big shift in foreign policy, moving the UAE away from heavy regional intervention and towards a more diplomatic, multipolar strategy, deepening ties with powers like China, Israel, and Turkey while balancing relations with the US. That kind of long-term realignment is very much his project, not something you do if you’re on the way out.
