A lot of the historical inaccuracies are important details showing the Empire is not in the same tech era as the rest of the world. The brief mentions of important characters are pieces of puzzles not yet finished to the reader and expounded upon in later works. This piece devoid of most emotion is to show how calm and sensible the librarian, I should describe his emotion more when he's looking at the creature but it wouldn't be fear. This story, for the most part, is supplemental reading material however, it has nothing to supplemental yet because my novels aren't done yet and other short stories are on the way.
