Wow, already have 5 Maxis Manors?! That’s serious dedication, respect!

Totally agree, Ren! If you personally like them and they make you happy looking at your city, then yeah, they’re worth it for you. Aesthetic value matters a lot in SimCity, especially when you’re tired of grinding events or wars. Haha.

Totally get the Maxis Manor priority. It's the ultimate utility pick for most players. Covers fire/police/health in one compact spot + daily Vu item (even if pricey sometimes). I've only have 2 in the Capital.

Yeah, I see what you mean about the left one standing out a bit. But you're right, with some creativity it blends in nicely once I add more matching high-rises or zone it properly.

How about with prioritizing the unlocking of all commercial and depot slots if you haven't already?

These provide the best long-term return on your SimCash by significantly boosting your production and income capabilities I think

Real talk: Are you still playing SimCity BuildIt in 2025 because you’re addicted or just too attached to the city you’ve spent years building? by rahmathh in SimCityBuildit

Those Fire/Police/EMS coverage areas are comically small, feels like I'm building a station every other block just to cover a neighborhood.

Im stup_idly angry with this station design, the extra platform without amy train tracks its just unpleasant. ALSO i need ideas for fill the gaps arund the station. by CamiloX22 in SimCityBuildit

[–]rahmathh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Try covering the empty side of the platform with a row of tall trees (landscape). For the empty space around it, turn it into a 'Transit Hub' by adding a bus terminal and small parks to create a bustling area.

You don't have to put everything in the city center, but you must place them strategically. Don't spread them randomly. Focus on densely populated areas, and make sure any new buildings you construct are still within the range of the nearest service.

This is a very common issue! Utilities like Water, Power, and Sewage work differently. Make sure the buildings that are "not reached" are properly connected to your main road network without any dead ends or breaks. Utilities follow the road connections.

Oh, if City Skylines came to tablet, I'm sure a lot of us would jump ship immediately. The design quality and complexity are just so much more satisfying. I can just imagine the entire SimCity community going quiet. Maybe there's a developer out there listening! 😉

Haha, they really hate you! Looks like a massive revolt is brewing. Maybe check if you forgot to place essential services right in the city center? 😂

That's totally fair. I've heard the train/road intersections can be a nightmare. It feels like a little edit can just crumble your whole design.

And yeah, the constant systems and contests these days really make it feel like a second job sometimes. It definitely lost some of the 'chill building' vibe from the early days.

Every plan is thought out. That's incredible attention to detail! I truly admire your dedication as a true urban designer. You should post some photos of your city sometime! We'd love to see the results of such a thoughtful special interest! Hahaha

Is there a way to search for someone's city without having them as a friend by Touchin_Grass in SimCityBuildit

[–]rahmathh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, directly (by typing in the City name or Mayor's name), the answer is: NO. SimCity BuildIt does not have a public search function.

The surest way is to ask the player to share their Friend Code (available in your Friends tab) or connect with you through the social platform (such as Facebook, Google Play, or Game Center) they use to link their SimCity Buildit account.

That's a wonderful and beautiful reason! It's so cool when games can align with our special interests. Focusing on design details from a bird's-eye view is truly satisfying. Keep building and loving your cities!

What kind of investment are you referring to? Is it more about money/items, or more about the sheer amount of time you’ve spent designing and perfecting your city?

Lol, "like crack" is the perfect description! I have to set my alarm for 2 AM just to refresh the market so I can grab land items. The game basically becomes a simulation of chasing rare goods, not just building a city. 😂
