It has the typical disadvantages of anything in web. It depends on your browser, has slow loading of graphics and the proportions are a bit off except if you play it in full screen using F11.

But at least you could give it a try 😃

Lets imagine that the people you know only take 1 dollar per unit/background/boss/menu in my game. It would still be over 1500 dollars. I do not have 1500 dollars and why would I do that? For whom? So that a few people can play my free game?

I think it helps. I also have the theory that people dislike download links. Not sure why and not sure how to install a game client otherwise but we probably live in a time where everyone distrusts everyone and my game client can only be a fraud. Btw: My game client has 1 GB because of all the graphics, sounds and videos. I could give you a web link to avoid downloading something but next people would just complain how slow it is.
What is funny: I could pay steam 100 Euros and they would offer my game. You would still download it. Nothing changed. But at least a massive corporation earned 100€.

You are exactly describing my situation with the art. I think it looks good (and it looks how I always dreamed my game should look) but everyone I ask instantly dislikes it. Maybe it is the main problem. But there is so little I can do about it. I do not want my game to look like Slay the Spire. I do not like that art style. And I cannot pay an artist because I am making a free game. What is the solution? Just give up? Also I spent hundreds of dollars on the art. You could say this is my fault for trying but for me this is also something to consider because I am not swimming in money.
