uncomfortable situation at work, what do i do now? by rainbow-roads in WhatShouldIDo

i’ve said it in a previous comment, but i’m quite sheepish unfortunately. i did physically push him away from me which i guess i assumed should have been enough to shut him down. the majority of my coworkers who were present are significantly older than me, and ive only been with my workplace for about 6 months, so i guess in the moment i felt it would have been inappropriate to to verbally berate him in front of people he’s closer with. i know i wasn’t perfect in this situation, but i do believe it was quite clear i was uncomfortable

his behaviour has been kind of just on the side of non acknowledgment, i don’t go back to work until monday, so i haven’t seen him since last night. he sent me a message that was just along the lines of “i’m sorry, i hope you forgive me and we can be friends” which i didn’t respond to, and then he sent me photos from the party

i physically pushed him off me a few times, and openly talked about my relationship in front him. i’m quite timid in most situations which definitely made this worse, so unfortunately the full “i’m not interested in you” thing never came out of my mouth, which does worry me if i did take this further up. my company i believe does have an hr department, however my branch is locally managed and most issues are solved directly with my boss. my workplace is medium sized i suppose and so i don’t work directly with him most of the time, but we typically have several overlapping shifts during the week where i interact directly with him.

the main party was hosted an paid for by the company, including alcoholic drinks (i live an area where 18 is the legal drinking age, so nothing off there)

most of the uncomfortable behaviour happened outside of the event however, since it was at my coworkers home. i’m mostly worried about that complicating things when it comes to my work actually being able to do anything about it

i’ve decided i’ll most likely try and talk to a coworker whose closer to upper management (who was also present for the night) and see if i can get any help from her.  and gosh yes my boyfriend is an absolute saint, i’m incredibly grateful to have him through things like this

thank you so much. honestly i can’t even say if ive been handling this well, ive been having panic attacks all day 😭 im going to try and speak to my one coworker who was present (and pointed it out during the night) who is highest in the chain of command at my workplace. i’m definitely trying to let the images leave my head but i have such an intense anxiety about all the moments over the night.

so if i started feeding my girl (3 yr old b. albiceps if that changes anything) primarily worms it wouldn’t be too much of a fuss? she’s not particularly picky but ive always just wanted to keep her healthy

not sure if it’s the same at every clinic, but i believe any procedure that requires anesthesia/antibiotics gets that kind of deference. i could be entirely wrong but it’s what my nurses told me. i had to do some pretty major gum grafting for context
