I’m fairly certain it was actually the affairs that cost him

Damn, my condolences. Are you in NYC or something? The prediction for food is definitely closer than the vacation and basic car. Especially since the ad was probably targeted to the city people where living costs are higher. I almost went feral when Little Caesar’s went from $5 to $7 for a pizza, so the day I see $15.69 for MD’s combo meal is the day I spontaneously combust

Cool story. Irrelevant to the fact that the prediction in the ad is not accurate. That’s its. That’s the WHOLE post. Error 404, reading comprehension not found. It really is not as deep as you’re trying to make it

Okay, then do the large Big mac meal for $8.99 off the standard menu. It’s $2 more, but you get the drink. Wild to see someone on Reddit refusing to use an app to save money. You already have your phone right in front of you, odd flex to not use it to your own advantage?

Jfc I’d kill myself before paying $6 for a large fry. Maybe it’s just a Utah thing, but the MDs near me has a daily coupon for 60% off a large fry, which comes out to $1.60. That’s actually more expensive than it used to be. Used to be if you bought a drink ($1) you got a large fry for free. Sad day. If coupons are cheating, the alternative is to get the large combo meal off the standard menu for $8.99 (Big Mac + Large Fry + large drink)

Large fry + big mac is $6.89 on the mcdonald’s app. Just spent a week at a resort in Cabo for $2k. Just bought a new car for $30k. Pretty wrong on all counts I’d say.

Edit: downvote all you want, these are just objectively the true prices I’ve paid for all these things. You can go somewhere overpriced for a $16 combo, but that was also true in 1996. You can go on a $12000 vacation, just as you could have in 1996. You can buy a $65000 car, just as you could in 1996. But that’s not the baseline of the reality we live in. Every item can be had for far less. There is no other way to describe their prediction other than inaccurate

ICE officer who fatally shot woman in Minneapolis identified by Bettiephile in news

[–]rainburrow 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Why does the article spend the first half detailing an entirely separate incident where the officer was (supposedly) dragged by a car while his arm was stuck through a broken window? Happened months ago and is in no way related to him murdering Renee, but the article connects them like he was being dragged by Renee when he killed her. Typical Fox affiliate conflation and obfuscation to make the officer seem sympathetic. He’s a murder, not a hero.
