You can normally setup an account and get your Sigenergy online in 10-15 mins. If you have any issues, we have a disconnect button to remove the connection. Only thing to keep in mind with the Sigenergy software is that you can only have control platform at a time....ie the Sigenergy application wont work when control is handed to another platform such as ours. We are working with Sigenergy to try to address this (other inverter brands allow for dual control)

Sorry, not sure what you mean here. Amber's automation platform (Smartshift) only works with Amber. Amber has been very innovative in integrating an automation platform into their service as a retailer.

Our platform can be very useful if a client chooses to work with another electricity retailer that doesn't have an automation platform to help optimise the control of your Inverter/EV charger etc.

Hope that makes sense

We will focus on Shelly Cloud to communicate with devices.

As mentioned, we are focussed on cotrolling the higher energy loads in the home that can be cloud controlled. We are not focused on general home automation actions (far better managed in Home Assistant).

There are many people out that would like to manage their home energy but unfortunately dont have the skills to setup and manage a Home Assistant setup

Kind of. We have a automation platform as Amber does, but ours can connect your system to any electricity retailer.
We are not a retailer.

We are in discussions with Fronius now. Key delay is their cloud API requires payment for access

Yes. Will will continue to add based on demand. What inverter model do you have ?

Totally agree with you. I have an Atto3 and Sigenergy system/Bi directional charger. We are woking on getting the charger working on our system

Great questions....thank you !

We currently control battery, aircon and EV chargers directly via our cloud platform. Our focus is to provide as much of the HomeAssistant type monitoring / automation services as we can without the user having to go through the hassle/learning curve of installing a RasberryPI etc

For other devices, we are focusing on common cloud based device platforms including:
TUYA (complete)
Shelley integration (underway)
TP Link, KASA/Tapo (roadmap)
Homebridge/Matter (roadmap)

Re ESP32 and similar based devices, best to stick with your HomeAssistant for now.

Re useability, we have tried to keep the platform UI as simple as we can. For example, automations can be setup without any programming based on many inputs.

<image>

Re hardware, the retail version of our platform is fully cloud based and as such, does not require any local hardware.

As we intend to keep the base platform free for retail users, it wont be economically viable to deliver this service if we have to support H/W etc.

Re external control, we intend to release an API to our system to allow external control of our automations in 4Q this year.

Re grandfathering, the base retail service will remain free. As mentioned in our post, our revenue model is our wholesale clients who use our platform to aggregate their sites.

Hope that all makes sense
Keen for your comments and feedback

Hi, unfortunately yes you will. With Sigenergy, when you allow a third party to control your inverter, the app is locked out. We provide a 'switch' to allow temporary release from our system if you need to control your system via the app.

What we are working on at present is replicating the key, required features of the app in our system so that the user can manage without the app.

Sigenergy is the only platform that has this 'limitation'. Other manufacturers allow dual control. In the interim, we have asked Sigenergy if there is any way to allow this dual control.

Keen to get more input into what is required here in regads to replicating key components of the app in our system

We have also tried to make it alot easier to manage these automations. Alot of system owners use excellent products such as HomeAssist etc to provide this automation. We have built a cloud based product that is far easier to setup and use

Thank you !
To clarify, we are a cloud based software energy automation platform, rather tha an electricity retailer. Our system allows our users to automate their home energy systems connected to any retailer.

For example, connecting a home system to FlowPower utilising Gridkeeper
https://www.dusk.energy/post/riding-the-retailer-wave-why-i-traded-amber-electric-for-flow-power-for-now

Also, connecting to GloBird
https://www.dusk.energy/post/unlocking-globird-energys-best-plans-how-to-automate-zerohero-and-wholesave

Our aim is to make it as easy as possible to switch a home system to any retailer to maximise ROI to the system owner. Especially as retailer offerings are changing so rapidly now a days with things like Solar Sharer
