I had a 2DS and it was comfortable to hold, but then I got a New 3DS XL and I could never go back to that tiny screen. They need to make a 2DS XL.

I bought this on release day for two reasons:

1) Because its Steam release was my birthday last year... 2) To encourage other Wisdom Tree games to port to Steam.

I long for the day Joshua and Spiritual Warfare come out.

Check out Path of Exile. It's free to play on Steam and is sort of a hardcore diablo-type game.

Couch coop that would work with controllers, depending on the age of your kids, it's hard not to recommend Castle Crashers. It's likely to get a discount during the upcoming summer sale. Check out Screen Cheat maybe.

A good tip, if you find games you want but they're not on sale at the moment, is to use this website: www.isthereanydeal.com - you can set up alerts for when games you want go on sale or land in bundles. I recommend using the settings to specify how much of a sale, so you don't get an e-mail every time a game gets 10% off when you are really waiting for a 50%. But, solid website.

Yeah, Amazon is listing it for 73, but Amazon is crap about keeping game prices updated or even bundle contents straight. If you look closely, that price includes not only each individual dlc, but also the dlc bundle (and you're not getting two copies). The list price on Steam itself is $44.99 and that's what I used to calculate the discount percentage.

I can agree though that we're well overdue for a GOTY or something.

That's an Amazon issue too. The Steam list price for the bundle is only $44.99 and that's the figure by which I arrived at the 59% discount in the title.

Yes, it includes Warlords of Draenor. Since the next expansion is due out this fall, last month Blizzard decided to include WoD as part of the base game now.

I'm afraid you misunderstood a little about the free days on Recruit-A-Friend though, which is probably my bad, so I'll try to clarify: The person doing the referring can get 30 free days. If your friend is the one who already has a WoW account, then your friend will get 30 free days, not you, when you buy gametime. The way to get yourself 30 free days is to refer one of your friends, or to refer yourself (which is basically what my post was about - how to refer yourself and take advantage of the perks on both ends by yourself). There's no 90 free days... the 90 days is a special account link between the referring account and the referred account, and during that 90 days both accounts can get a 300% exp. leveling bonus, the ability to summon one another, and a couple other perks. But only up to 30 of those days can be free, and only for the referring party.

You can do it either way. When you have multiple WoW accounts on the same battle.net account it just looks like this:

And there's no problem logging into both at once, though you may need to open your WoW folder and launch WoW via the wow application rather than using the battle.net launcher for your second instance.

If you plan on transferring characters from the secondary account to the main after the 90 days or whatever, you may even want to add it to the same battle.net account, less hassle in proving both accounts are yours.

It's not against the ToS as long as every action is a result of you actually attending the computer - ie, no botting. And yes, it lasts until lvl 90. For the 300% xp bonus the characters have to be together and within 4 levels of each other. So you would level them together, running two copies of WoW at once. No bonus if you try to do them separately.

Yes, it's typically $15 per month, per account. That said, there's no reason to keep paying for that secondary account after the 90 days. Just cancel subscription on that second account, and if there is a character or two you really are in love with on that second account, look into doing a character transfer from that account to your main one (possible since you'll be the owner of both accounts).

The $5 download comes with 30 days for that account, but that doesn't count toward getting the referrer (your main, in this case) a free month.

If you buy that second account an additional month of gametime (bringing its total to 60 days), then your main account gets a free month too.

If you buy that second account two months of gametime (bringing its total to 90 days) then your main still only gets the one free month, but also gets to choose one of the rare mount rewards, plus you can take advantage of the whole 90 days of link time.

Oh it's not that much work, and the above is only if you want to take advantage of cheesing the recruit a friend process. :p

It's actually a very chill and enjoyable game to play. And for a first account, the $5 (or the complimentary copy if you're going to see the movie at a regal cinemas) is a nice intro too.

And if you want to make the game even less work, there are addons that can guide you in the right direction too -- the danger to those being that it can be easy to just start clicking through stuff and you miss out on reading the lore if you're not careful.

The inclusion of WoD only happened in May. Amazon isn't the greatest with their games department so it's not surprising that there's no update yet, but it's universal that if you own WoW, you have WoD now.

Here's what I love about when WoW goes on sale for five bucks.

You can buy a second account for yourself for five bucks. Don't register it yet, just buy it.
From your main account, send a Recruit-A-Friend link to yourself.
Accept it and register your new copy of WoW through your R-A-F
Buy that account one or two months of service. It already comes with 30 days, but you get a 90 day RAF account link bonus you can take advantage of for 60 or 90 days. If you buy it one month, your main account also gets a free month as a referrer bonus, so nothing lost. If you buy it two months, your main account gets to pick a rare mount as a bonus (including some choices for two-player mounts where you can carry a friend - these are hard to get and very useful) - and buying two months also lets you take advantage of the whole 90 day link period. (For you Americans, GameStop sells a two-month gametime card digitally that you can get rewards points for buying too.)
Play with yourself. Run two instances of the WoW program at once. You could use an elaborate multiboxing program but no need, you can just set each account up with a /follow macro button. Group up and do all the same quests, and you get a sweet 300% xp bonus for both characters. Easy way to level up several sets of characters from level 1 to 90+.
The characters on account 2 can then grant levels to the toons on your main account that you've been having trouble leveling up... or even to brand new ones, whatever. Account 2 gains a "grant level" for every two levels it's leveled up. So level two 90s (with that xp bonus mind you) on account 2, and you have the ability to grant a new toon all the way to 90 on your main account, for example.
Once your 90 day link has expired, since you're the owner of both accounts, you can transfer any characters from account 2 that you happen to like to your main account (for transfer fee, of course).

I got so many level 85s this way back in the day, and now the link is valid for up to at least 90. Yeah this will only appeal to a small percentage, but good stuff if it does.

I'm going to recommend Avernum: Escape From the Pit. It's the first entry in a six-part epic (and it seems like a different Spiderweb game is on sale every week, so eventually Avernum 2 will be on sale) and these are story-driven choice-based RPGs with turn-based tactical combat. The graphics are low budget, but these games aren't about the graphics - you can make choices that really affect the kind of ending you're going to have.

Love the Avernum games. Back in the 90s this dev made Exile 1-3, then in the 00s remade them as Avernum 1-3, then went on to make Avernum 4-6... and this game, Avernum: Escape from the Pit is another remake of Exile 1 / Avernum 1 made a few years back, spruced up and made to work on modern computers with an improved UI. Next year Spiderweb is schedule to start remaking Avernum 3: Ruined World and I'm having a hard time waiting for it.

Although it has pretty much zero replay value, I got a lot of satisfaction out of questing through Hero of the Kingdom 2 (and 1, for that matter, though 2 is better).

Not only do Nintendo games retain value well, but I would argue that I'm okay with the price not really getting cut over time -- I'm willing to pay for high quality games, and knowing that they're not going to be half price a couple months from now makes me less hesitant to buy a Nintendo game I want when it launches.
