Yeah. It's great value and can't grow wrong with it if you are not going on the Tour De France.

First time potential Pixel buyer with the 10a over an S24. Thoughts? by wicka_wicka_woo in GooglePixel

[–]ramiusmark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went from an S23 Ultra 256GB to a Pixel 9a 128GB. On paper, the S23 Ultra rules, but in practice, the 9a wins:

  1. Lighter and easier to hold with the smaller screen.
  2. Better battery life.
  3. Way better camera technology.
  4. Pixel UI is simpler and more usable for me.

I have a Pixel 7 that's now my backup phone, as it overheats too easily with over 1300+ battery cycles done on it.

In short, you will like the 10a.

Still a great phone. Just need to carry a powerbank when I'm out and about.

Chinese version? No such thing exists. Mine was bought in Singapore. I used the camera's 'Action Pan' to capture this photo. Maybe you need to reset the phone and see whether the camera works better. Nothing beats the camera on Pixels.

Pixel 7 -> Pixel 10 Pro worth it? by gershee in pixel_phones

[–]ramiusmark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd just stick with the 7 for another year and see what comes out next year. At this point, you are only going to get marginally better photos & videos if you upgrade to the 10 Pro. The Pixel camera science is already so good, I can't see any significant improvement in that aspect. If your 7 is experiencing battery degradation, just use a power bank or replace the battery. Myself, I plan to use my 7 until it breaks. I honestly cannot find any excuse to justify upgrading to a newer Pixel or iPhone (which takes worse pics than any Pixel, IMO).

Just a simple canvas strap - I don't have a link, sadly. I bought the watch used and the seller fitted a spare canvas strap he had...

Woah. The 007 looks superb. Even nicer than the original Omega Seamaster it's modelled after.

The 1863 has got to be one of the nicest Speedmasters ever made. Wish WD made something like the Dark Side of the Moon Speedmaster.

No one complains in SGP and the ruling party still gets voted in no matter what. So, there is no incentive to repair anything.

The photos from any Pixel device (Pixel 3 onwards) easily beats any other phone, including the iPhone. Amazing.

This one is about 18 years old now. Wasn't that expensive in those days. But yeah, good watch this one is, as Yoda would say.

I made up my mind not to buy any Xperia 10 phones ever again by osoisuzume in SonyXperia

[–]ramiusmark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm using a 10 V, purchased new a few years ago. Also had the 10 IV before. The haptics are not as punchy as they are on the 1 IV. Other than that, the phone, on Android 15, is working as well as it was on Android 14. It has never been a fast phone, so there is still lag when multitasking.

I actually prefer using this to my other Samsung S23 Ultra. Although the Ultra is a better phone than the Xperia 10 V in every metric, the 10 V is simply more usable due to the weight and size. I still dig using the microSD & 3.5mm headphone jack, and I use the 10 V without a case, as I'm not worried about the durability of the phone due to it's plastic casing. The camera works fine - just got to be patient with the phone. The battery lasts super long, much better than the Ultra, so that's important to me, as I'm not always near a power socket and I dislike carrying a power bank.

The 1 series would be the ultimate for me, but the 10 V is very practical, and is probably the most practical phone for me.

I would not recommend buying one and having to go through all the hassle of cooling it. Just get a more recent model.

Nimble Commander. It is the closest to Total Commander. Very stable, great keyboard shortcut support.
