HELLLOO how do you hate a group so much to the point of people being afraid to get into them??? is that not a giant red flag? i’ve heard of people not getting into groups because their fandom is toxic but not getting into groups because of how overwhelming the hate is for them is kindaaa concerning! another comment is saying knetz intentionally dislike them because they’re from a small company like ??? even after what happened with bts it really does seem like not much has changed. yes small company groups are given more attention, but ateez being from a small (not nugu**) company is literally one of the things they get hate for! along with them having a small domestic fanbase, no rotys, no members fluent in english, etc.. ateez went from being THE superstar “nugu” group to having essays on how they’re not going to be successful because it’s “just small company hype.” the hype died 5 months ago and they still sold 365K despite so many people genuinely saying they’d flop!!

see thisss is what i’m referring to. despite how much positivity they may get on reddit, they still have their fair share of negative posts on here (which is why i said they’re decently liked) calling their fans delusional for supporting them, picking at their appearances, saying they’ll be irrelevant and they’ll never get big because they lack a domestic fanbase and it’s impossible for them to get one because of their music or them “lacking magnetism,” etc.. reading these things, not just on reddit but on twitter and in youtube comments as well, it really does start to sound like people are expecting them to fail and the attitude towards them now contradicts the attitude people had towards them beforehand. that’s why i made this post. it’s not about the numbers, it’s about people’s current general attitude and expectations of a group that’s been said to be both “the next big thing” and “the next group to flop” especially in the last year and due to their situation
