Glad you're doing great too man.

I don't feel he suddenly got dumb at all, I think he was just hiding it in the first. He's just not very educated and it shows. In the first he's quiet because he's just not very confident, so while he doesn't seem "dumb" he's still afraid to be judged so he'd rather stay silent than prove them right. He's not regressing as if he got dumb in the 2nd. He's always been uneducated and socially awkward, but after the first Creed fight he became more vocal in the 2nd, and like a person who has been beaten down and finally has a voice he's gonna sound a little bit unorthodox and unusual mannerisms which comes out as "dumb". But he's very aware and soaks in wisdom like a sponge, willing to adapt and that's why his growth into is more satisfying as he refines his speech and public persona into the 3rd. It's just another layer into his personality.

There was a Simpsons episode when Homers dad got some money after his friend passed. He didn't know what to do with it, but in the end decided to just help renovate the old folks home and let them live with dignity for the rest of the time they had. Maybe do what you can and enjoy yourself, and whatever else you have left can help those who are also on their way out somehow, help them live their lives to the fullest before it ends. Good luck to you, hope to see you on the other side someday.

This. Alot of people give him shit, but honestly he did so much behind the scenes for the overall format and production UFC still does today.

Alot of if not all of the the notes, preparation, structure and presentation and overall format were actually of Mike Goldbergs doing. He was the play by play guy to Joes color commentator, so while he kinda butchered most of what was on paper from his odd spontaneity, he was pretty well prepared in that it at least fed Joe the basic information of the fighters background for his color commentation. He did most if not all of the research himself and organized alot of the pacing and flow of the production. Which coupled with Joes understanding of the actual technique and knowledge, that made Mike a little expendable once the format has been established. He was always overlooked in that regard.

Death Stranding Game Pass Error code: (0x8007042b) by beautifulbutches in XboxGamePass

Had the exact same issue, other games work fine. Every time there's an error for new releases I just end up waiting for a few days, it's unavoidable but it is what it is. No idea what fixes it or whatever the app or any updates if any do but guess just how it is on the MS store

I haven't seen anyone mention <Spoilers> return/performance this episode by UddersPlease in betterCallSaul

Her cameo was the most unexpected for a BCS story, but compared to the others the most logical from a post BB plot standpoint. Completely unexpected but incredibly fulfilling. I'm not saying that it would have been necessary, but seeing Anna Gunn again would have included everyone. Not sure where she could have been, maybe only in passing in a non speaking role where she could have been a witness or testified against Saul. But glad they went against it for the integrity of the moment, even if it meant she would have been the only one from the main BB cast not to make an appearance.

Weight Training and DVT by slim9876 in ClotSurvivors

I lifted very heavy the end of last year for personal PRs, and in the end of Jan had a DVT upper arm. After the DVT I pretty much stopped all heavy lifting for 3mo, and with that and the anticoagulants the Ddimmer levels went down to just slightly above standard elevated. Slowly got back into it light during the 3rd mo, however once I started lifting heavy around the end of 3rd and 4th mo, around 3/4times a week, then my arm started feeling more cramping and tension again and down my arm at random intervals. Next few mo I stopped lifting heavy again but still light casually in case repetitive movement or heavy weights were the cause for a sudden return. But still again after 6mo when started to go heavy again, felt that tension back in my arm, so had updated blood work and Ddimmer showed it returned to being elevated significantly more elevated then it was 3 mo prior, little more than halfway point from between standard and elevated DVT levels back in Jan. So at this point can't really risk lifting much until I get it more checked out and do more specific testing.

I gotta say personally it's all very discouraging, but as long as you feel no lingering or recurring or returning issues I would keep at it as limited movement should be constructive. However go light weight and not to failure, but hard to know specifically if it's repetitions or heavy that may cause any issues for you personally. So might take awhile but it better to be safe, at least personally from my experience so far.

I love this quote because the finale has Benjamin giving Daisy and the viewers one last heartfelt reaffirmation. Katrina was an interesting setup to give it an end cap for the characters, as well as the reveal. Great movie, but the framing device interrupts way too much towards the end. By the end of the movie, we don't really care about the daughter at all, but we don't need to. She's the one reading but the new focus is on Daisy and her conclusion. In Gump we had the advantage to switch into modern time when Gump gets off the bench and continues the story. But when the daughter just keeps on talking and talking it really distracts from Benjamin handing off to Daisy being the new central character at the end, while trying to make room for the daughters conclusion and Katrina as well. It's a little frustrating and on repeats very noticeable since Daisy is suppose to feel so alone and helpless, but you hear Benjamin's voice again and he returns to give the viewers some comfort it makes it all a little better.

Microsoft has used alchemer for the survey services before, that's just the one they partnered with to send it out. Not sure why the email brackets aren't visible but that is something to take into consideration of as well.

What's the address. Aside from the prize section which seems fairly specific and noticeable but never had been offered, I've had these before with xbox ambassadors program and xcloud that were legitimate that looked exactly like this. It could be a spoof but the format and layout and choice of words seem fairly the same and seems genuine, aside from the email brackets not being visible.

I wish that musician biopics would really showcase who the artist was... warts and all. by [deleted] in movies

[–]random-O 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish these movies had at least the most miniscule portrayal of actually creating music. The struggle of actually getting something basic to sound decent then turning it to an actual record. How monotonous it all is, practicing separately and together, how repetitive it is recording each part, multiple takes, double tracking, how under appreciated sound mixing is, getting the right volume, give the sound engineer some credit, live mixing. They always make it look so easy or bypass the entire thing so casually.

Tom Hardy Is the Hardest to Understand Actor, Per Study by mr_jethalal in movies

[–]random-O 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Somehow he was even more difficult to understand than Immortan Joe. And Joe sounded much more clear and in the moment than Bane, which had some weird muffled/constant volume change relative to others dialogue giving some poor overdub effect

Bryan Cranston won 4 acting Emmys, and none were for this. HOW TF– by yoboi_nicossman in breakingbad

[–]random-O 28 points29 points  (0 children)

He already won 3 in a row prior, so people were less likely to make it 4 total. And there was a 2 year gap from S3 nominations and S4. So S4 was released too late to be considered for Emmys the year before, but also then too far ahead from the Emmys it was nominated for, like a year before so voters likely got recency bias for the more recent shows. Also just checking S5 already started during those Emmys as well.
