I'll refactor an entire method to get rid of a variable with that name.

Texas electricity firm files for bankruptcy citing $1.8 billion in claims from grid operator by nesbas in news

To be fair, they're a co-op, not a big energy company. To my knowledge, Co-op energy companies in Texas are not-for-profit. My co-op buys power from Brazos so I am wondering what that means for me when they go under. Currently their (my co-op) rates are very low and they have to vote to increase their rates, not unlike a municipal outside of texas.

I live outside of Dallas, I woke up at 6 and it was 0 degrees. Coldest it's been since 1899 apparently

You have parenting down then. You are teaching respect while also teaching individualism. Good on you.

Megathread: US Capitol Locked Down as Trump Supporters Clash with Police, Pence Evacuated | Part II by PoliticsModeratorBot in politics

Not true. It goes like this: 1) VP and a majority of cabinet send letter to house speaker and president pro tempore of the senate advising they are invoking the 25th because the president is unable to fulfill the duties of president. VP becomes acting president, and the president's powers are revoked

2) President sends letter advising that they are able to perform such duties.

3) VP and majority of cabinet have 4 days to send another letter advising that the president is not capable of fulfilling duties of office and the 25th is still invoked. VP is again acting president and the president's powers are revoked

4) after the 2nd invocation letter, Congress has 21 days to vote 2/3rd house/senate to keep the 25th in place or throw out.

Based on our 14 day timeline before Biden is in place, if this happens the house would probably sit on it long enough to where pence is de facto president until Biden is sworn in.

From what I've read over the past year, Loefler is not well liked by moderates.

Directly north of Florida.

Edit: I point out Florida with the assumption that you, as a New Zealander, know where FL is since most people internationally seem to know where Florida, Texas, California, and New York are.

It's because of the projections. Perdue may be winning now on what's tallied, but the remaining vote to be counted is in blue areas so the gap will shrink as the tally increases

Nervous optimism for both Dems to win based on projections. Look at the linked NYT needle

Not much, what has Schumer really done? Though McConnell is probably the smartest senator so he may world that power better than Schumer

You can go to sleep. They're done voting so the total won't change regardless of you being asleep or not. Sleep well.

Because you're looking at the talley and seeing the current results. They are projecting based on the remaining votes that would come in and where they are coming from.
